In short: The friendliest and by far the best triathlon i've taken part in. In full: Hopefully this won't clash with the Maidenhead Half next time as this is an event to keep coming back to again and again.
A really friendly event, ultra slick organisation right from the pre race information, the genius idea of racking your bike pre-registration and then the event itself. Brilliant marshals and lovely courses.
I stayed overnight at the hotel onsite the night before the race and I'd certainly do that again; a relaxed breakfast and lie in makes such a difference.
In short: My first ever triathlon, great atmosphere, well organised, great medal and tshirt, lovely flat run and not too challenging bike course! In full: I took part in the Reading triathlon sprint distance as my first ever triathlon. It was great. Really good for a first timer. Lots of club runners but really supportive atmosphere. The training day offered before hand was really helpful too. Totally got me hooked on triathlon now. Date of review: September 2, 2013
In short: Cracking Event - Great Value In full: This was my first Olympic Tri, having done a couple of Sprints last year and I was really impressed with the whole event. Plenty of updates pre-race, easy to register and rack up and a fairly personal feel to it, not being too large an event (yet). The marshalling and sign-posting was second to none and the cycle route, although not overly hilly, had a few draining sections, but a couple of swift bits too. A good course for spectators too.
To top it off, 60 quid for an Olympic length... very good. Well done guys. Date of review: September 1, 2013
In short: My first Olympic distance tri and I am glad I took the plunge at Reading. Great fast course and excellent organisation. In full: Big thanks to Oliver and Ceri and all the marshalls and volunteers for making this a great frist time experience. I cant wait to sign up for 2014! Date of review: September 1, 2013
