In short: Tough isn't the word!
In full: The hardest 8.3 miles I've ever run! - garmin clocked it at 8.3- due to the trees could have been a little out- but was certainly not over 9! Don't know if the 10-12 mile estimate is to help justify the price, but I would have been happier if they'd have sold it as 8-10 miles- however with after the 2nd crossing of the Trent I was glad the finish line was in sight!
I was very apprehensive before the race, thinking it would just be a novelty obstacle course, but I found it a really good course, extremely tough but lots of fun, and I'll definitely be back for more!

In short: Big hills followed up with more big hills !
In full: A challenging but scenic course which was my first attempt at a Hellrunner, some good water crossings & a lot of hills in the mix ( two of which you could barely walk up ). All together though an enjoyable event which I will certainly attempt again. Not sure about the distance issue but still enjoyed it anyway !!

In short: Too Short!!
In full: What a shame. They found some great hills and the river crossings were cruel and yet fun at the same time. The course was very slippy and there were a lot of comedy falls - me included, but the course was way too short. 8.3 miles is not between 10 and 12 miles and i feel cheated. This is not the first time this has happened and it's not good. Come on organisers - give us what we pay for, Hell up North last year was great at 12 miles, 8.3 is rubbish!! :-(
