In short: Do this race! In full: I have only previously participated in running events and have been hankering for a while to do a duathlon. I don't have a road bike however and if I am honest my mountain bike only gets dusted off when i go out with the kids. When i saw this event advertised i knew that there could be no more excuses and signed up and i am so glad i did. It was bitterly cold with snow flurries but the atmosphere was positive and the organisation spot on. The run route was varied and tricky, the ride had the right balance of fast and flowing and steep and technical (fiddly). Will certainly be signing up again and will probably sign up to do another duathlon. Date of review: February 25, 2013
