In short: Great event for a runner looking for a change and a challenge
In full: Organisation was superb, really good fun and yes my bones were shaken. I'm not a grat cyclist which made that part challenging - quite bumpy and the downhills needed a bit of bottle (or good brakes).
Will be back next year.

In short: A brilliant fun race, nice people and scenery...and weather!!
In full: Every year the sun shines on the boneshaker. I have been doing this event since it's first year and although it is bigger in terms of numbers the organisation is getting better and better. Electronic timing made for a super smooth event this year and the complimentary suncream was welcome!! Brilliant day, thanks again!!

In short: The name says it all!
In full: I did this to make a change from the usual road-running events and to motivate me to do a bit of proper cross-training. A 20k cycle might not sound very far but with the rutted tracks and hills getting round in less than 1 hour is pretty good going! And I can tell you it's a long hour on a hybrid with no suspension! The runs were slightly short of 5k but were a ideal course - jumping off the end of the field at the start 10 abreast, some decent hills and views, proper cross-country stuff. Exact distances are irrelevant anyway as this is a unique course - forget about the clock and have some fun.

This was my first duathlon experience and I really enjoyed it. The organisation was impeccable and both courses were well marshalled even in the chaos of transition. Really friendly and incredibly good value compared to other multi-disciplinary events - I think this one will continue to grow. Right, I'm off to the bike shop...

In short: Excellent...loved it
In full: these sort of dualathon have got to be the future, far more intersting than just plodding around streets, but much harder!

In short: Fantastic! My first duathlon and I really enjoyed it. Well done!
In full: Nicely organised, great venue, good goody bag, nice lot of mud. Not sure it would be so enjoyable in the wet and the rain... we were so lucky with the weather!

In short: Almost my first DNF but hung on & glad I did !
In full: Great race, very friendly, huge range of abilities. Fab momento (race-specific Buff !)

Make sure you take spare inner tubes & know how to use them - I had 2 punctures today, saw lots of other people repairing them too. Was muppet on 2nd run and missed a turn so ran too far but still finished with a grin on my face.
