In short: Proper race In full: The only gripe I had was you just could not hear the race brief. Plenty of water supply around the course. The course was far hillier than expected, final twok was a god send .Great tech shirt. See you in 2015. Date of review: July 13, 2014
In short: Cheap and challenging, and a tech T-Shirt to boot! In full: For the small entry fee (£11.50 via RW) you get a fantastically organised challenging and scenic 10k, with a tech T-Shirt in a choice of sizes at the end. Not to mention the bottle of water and flapjack too!
An excellent event that is full value for money, and I will definitely do it again. Date of review: July 19, 2013
In short: A running club should know how to organise a race for runners. In full: Hundreds of runners lined up for the start while a race organiser made a pre race speech which as last year was impossible to hear unless you were on the front line. Please invest in a megaphone for next year. Also yet again anyone over 55 is ignored ,no prize category, ok. But ignored in the results,no finish position in age group for anyone over 55. Surely it is a basic expectation to see your finish position in your age group? We all pay the same entry fee !
In short: well organised and friendly In full: a very well organised event. the marshals were very supportive and it was nice to see locals out running there own drinks posts in the heat. Date of review: July 16, 2013
In short: Rolling rural run on the edge of Coventry In full: Surprisingly scenic traffic free route using rural lanes on the edge of Coventry. The Jaguar Sports Club provides good parking and facilities for the start and end of the race. Well organised with supportive marshalls and extra water stops on another hot day. The hills aren't too bad, but when you throw in some heat as well this is not a PB course. Date of review: July 14, 2013
In short: Hilly rural 10k In full: This is a hilly 10k.mostly uphill for the first 8k, then good running over last 2k to finish. Well marshalled with goody bag & T shirt.
However disappointingly for a club organised event the vets over 60 are ignored. There is no 60 or 65 category. Consequently the results are meaningless for anyone over 60 or 65 as all are listed as over 55. It would at least be nice to have some idea where one finished in one's age categories as surely this is a basic expectation.
In short: Enjoyable Hills! In full: Quite a hilly course(yet not as bad as I thought listening to some of the runners at the beginning of the race!). Good local support, and a lovely downhill from about 7.5k. Will be back next year! Date of review: July 16, 2012
