Organiser's notes:Take this opportunity to run this town centre half marathon on a flat, fast & traffic free road course ..... perfect for revising that Half Marathon PB.

4th in 'PB Potential' category in Runners World Races of the Year 2012!

The route will start and finish in Maidenhead town centre and take a scenic route through the surrounding areas, showcasing the glorious scenery around Maidenhead and rivaling all other local half marathons.

With a town centre start and a two-lap course, this is a great spectator-friendly course. There is plenty going on for runners and spectators alike with local businesses offering coffee, lunch and general shopping - an ideal time to make a day of it and stay around for lunch/shopping afterwards.

Runners in the 2011 inaugural race keep their race number for the future of the race. Once they have run the race five consecutive times their number will change to gold indicate their achievement to all.

Latest comment: Fast and flat, but bring back the 2011 route, wasn't keen on doing 2 laps, psychologically more difficult seeing later race markers. Still enjoyable but preferred last years run.. By Claire Powley
