A fast flat course, virtually traffic-free, with chip timing. Entrants tend to be evenly split between club/non-club runners and this mix of abilities ensures race feels busy but rarely crowded. Section of route is on an airfield and seafront.(With views to Isle of Wight). Age Category and Team prizes. Motivational Samba Band. Not suitable for wheelchair athletes. A Hampshire Road Race League event. 28th year of race. Entry to race will be available at end of Feb 2013.
There is an under 12's children's Fun Run that commences at 10.20am and the children will also receive a medal and Goody Bag. Entry fee for children will be £2.00 payable on the day.
