 FAQ Questions

The site won't log me in? What can I do?

One frequent problem is that passwords for the site are case sensitive. You could try to enter your password with a different case (eg all capitals - you may have had the Caps Lock switched on when you entered your password originally). The quickest thing to do is click this remind link (or go to the Runner's World homepage and click the 'forgot password?' link in the log-on pod). You will then be able to enter your e-mail address and have your password e-mailed to you instantly.

Why does the site keep asking me to join, even though I am a member?

Don't worry - you're still a member! Just ignore the Join pod, which is for non-members, and log-on using the smaller 'Members Logon' pod underneath it.
If you want to be logged on automatically when you visit the site, do two things:
    1. Don't click 'log off' at the end of a session
    2. Ensure your browser preferences are set to allow 'cookies' (this may already be so). Our site depends on 'cookies' in your computer to remember that you are a member.

The site won't let me access the event listings or the 'add message' section of the forum, even though I am a member. Why not?

You probably aren't logged in (unless you can see your name in the pod in the top left-hand corner of every screen). Log-on using the smaller 'Members Logon' pod underneath the big 'Join' pod in the top left-hand corner of every screen.
