-5 mins on 10k time in a month...........possible?

over ambitious i think, i started running a couple of months ago and i'm going to enter my first 10k in september and would like to get under 40mins........i have run 10.1km first time round in 45mins a couple of months ago i only run twice a week and bike 3 times a week, if it is possible how can i achieve this...?

to be honest i think i'm kidding myself....

Run 3 times a week for a start. There are good links here for speedwork and beginners. Read the beginners stuff first otherwise it'll make no sense and there is no use running before you can hobble : http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/news/article.asp?UAN=4075
