Well done, that's a great time.
That'll teach me for thinking about it for so long, it was open for 3 days and now sold out so have written a begging letter. Am still liking the idea of a Marathon so may look around, maybe even the Inverness Marathon, or Liverpool.
I knew it would be a popular race. Is Inverness the same as Loch Ness as that's had good reports.
Andi thats a shame.... Good luck with your begging letter but looking at alternatives may have a more positive outcome.
LSR of 9 miles completed today, Brighton HM training remains on track
Yes HM4, one and the same and yes, it sounds like a good one and not so far from me as York
Lisa, will keep you guys informed and well done on 9 miles today. My calf is a little better but last nights resistance bands have left me with a sore hamstring
@Samantha I read that you can run a half off 9 miles in training, so it sounds like you're going well. Personally I'd like to have run the distance at least once in training, but you have plenty of time to build up to that still
As Daveo says about the training Sam and sounds like you'll be just fine on the day so good luck
2 miles on the running machine tonight. I ran about 500m and thought maybe I'd be more comfy if I upped the speed a bit... so I upped it. 1000m later, I upped it a bit more, then a bit more, then 2 miles came and went without me wishing it over even once, and I stopped so as not to overdo it. So happy - I haven't enjoyed a run so much in ages. Rib's on the mend too - no pain bouncing on the treadmill today. I feel great Here's to recovery!

4.75 miles run last night - still try to decide what to do tonight. Either a recovery run of about 3 miles or try my local running club (again) for a speed session. Will see how I feel later.
Well I opted for the 3 miler last night (typically). However did a tempo 5 miler this evening in 42 mins so pleased with that. Think I only ran so fast as it was sooo cold out there. Will take me all night to warm up again!.
Here's hoping that all the snow arrives and disappears again quickly - really want Spring to arrive now, am done with Winter.
Another 2 miles on the treadmill tonight. Calves a bit tights, but things seem to be basically ok so far!
Second that regarding Spring.
Forgot to tell you - we have all the council permissions and everything, and our first Cheltenham Parkrun will be on Feb 16th!
