Lurking no more!
I'm still sofa bound, bad news is pulled knee again last night so back to Dr's in the morning to hopefully move things quicker and get some new painkillers as I'm reacting badly to the ones I have
As I'm not going to be at work tomorrow I'll do the milage to date then to give me something to do as I've now watched everything recorded on Sky + so tomorrow is going to be really boring. Could just go for a run, but need to learn to walk first.

Completely off topic but I've lost 9lbs in just over a month healthily without going under 1200 calories, I've been eating between 1350-1600 and exercising gently. I officially love my fitness pal. I'm almost halfway to my goal weight.
Maam, I hope you are feeling better soon. I'll take you for a virtual muddy run around my river route if you like. x

Not run since Sat, think my mileage is about 11 miles so far this month hehe not good, but hey I enjoyed the break

Mal - that's brililant. I've been on the myfitnesspal since just after the silverstone half marathon and lost 15lb, 9lbs in a month is brilliant!!! well done! if you want to be my friend, my username is twinkle77toes

Booey - i'm back at work again today. What does everyone here do 'for a living'? or 'did for a living' before starting families?
I work in accounts Em, I do various tasks including Credit Control and Bought Ledger and rather enjoy it should I admit that lol been with this Company for around 12 years pretty well happy here to be honest and especially since they introduced flexi time a few years ago
Been mad busy catching up today but just about there off home in a minute catch you all tomorrow

Sorry haven't got anything done today, spent all day in A&E after going to see GP this morning, I'm home on crutches, signed off work for 2 weeks and got to see specialist consultant next week to try and work out what is wrong. Too swollen and painful at the moment to fully examine
Will do monthly figures tomorrow, mine is still only at 10 miles and can't see it changing soon
Oh dear Maam you really are suffering, I hope you can stay positive and get this problem sorted asap

I am still having lots of problems with my swollen joints on my hands, they are getting worse by the week now and last night was the first night one tiny finger joint kept me awake with pain also the hospital came back to me after my blood tests and I have a Vitamin D deficiency so now on 2 tablets a day for the next 4 months also the joints problem is defo going to other joints in my body which is common in Rhematoid Arthritis. I am having a scan on my hands July 2nd so am hoping that will shed more light and then the next step is meds, although follow up appointment with specialist is not until end of Aug thinking that may have to be sooner if the pain carries on.
I am never ill, sick or get colds so this is proper getting me down thank god at the moment and fingers crossed its not affecting me running
Well the good news is I've had a call from A&E, my specialist appointment is 20th June so not too long to wait. Fed up of being stuck on the sofa, but now I have crutches I feel a bit more mobile. Can't belive I'm saying this, but I wish I was at work. Feel fine to be there, other than the constant knee pain, need to have leg elevated, can't drive to get there, oh and the walk from the station is too far As for what I do I work for a bank as a back office team leader, quite challenging but can be lots of fun too
Ok, so while I'm not running I'm keeping track:
Me - Stuck on 10 miles, wish was more, but have to get sorted first, and if I play nice the hospital are still thinking I will get to do GNR
Silver - 18k (11.2 miles) Good going, keep it up!
Em - 28.5 miles through beautiful scenary,highly jealous
Boo - I've got 11.4 miles for you, good going
Stripes - 14 miles to date, wonder if there have been any miles added between the drinking run
Mal - Still have you on 2k, have you been out since? Know you've so much on your mind. Meant to ask, how was the teddy bear picnic for Moo birthday?
Boo - keep your chin up. Don't fret on the Vit D, the tablets work wonders, I've been on them since about October. As for the scan, hopefully it will bring good news and they will be able to help or at least provide you with pain relief. I know when I went to see the specialist about the osteoarthritis in my hands and it has helped. They also arranged straps for when needed and work have got my computer set up to make it easier for me. Lots is possible
Em - hope the hols have been all you wanted, they have sounded fun from what you've put on here.
Can't wait to my holidays, even been looking at ways around diving so I still can
Did 5.08 miles last night, very enjoyable and made me feel better just knowing all my problems don't get in the way I have some swelling on my lower shin think I may have bumped it but cant remember when also had a good nights sleep mornings are the worse, everything takes me so much longer because of hands and if you see me walking down the stairs well, I am 44 not 84 I hate taking meds but bring them on if it sorts this out
Silver - run when you can and enjoy it, your boys will grow up and not need half as much attention as they do now and then will be your time

Boo - glad to hear you sounding a bit more upbeat, one step at a time and you will get there, also at least you are able to run.
Silver - sorry that you can't run as much as you want, but as Boo said, all will come in time.
Day time TV is definately not what you need to keep you going. Bored is definatley the phrase. Keeping my chin up though, it has to get better at some point, but running will have to wait for now.
Afternoon my running buddies!!! I have been out and run 7.4k (with just a short stop) this lunchtime and it was fantastic. Great temp, great weather, beautiful countryside but long grass and mud - everywhere. Not that I'm bothered as this is my favourite kind of running. I'm really going off the road running again so I want to fit in more off road stuff and need to find some new routes esp near to home.
Anyway that more than makes up for my lost 5k ( Grrrrr) so Im back up to 25/26k?

Hey - well done on the run silver, sounds like you have well and truely got the running bug back. As for 5k lost, it wasn't lost, it just wasn't in June
As for daytime TV, I've had a break today, OH dad came to see me, take me to Dr for new prescription etc so was different day, just lots of pain today.
Looking forward to tomorrow coz I'm going on a train to see a friend Well now I've sorted the lift to the station etc, but will good to have a different 4 walls to look at

Shame on you silver - 56 is not an old age and certainly no excuse to stop running!!!! are you crazy - that's not a good enough reason to stop running!
Aging gracefully is also something I strongly disagree with. I can't wait to be that miserable old spinster with a blue rinse and dodgy stockings!
Maam - enjoy your visit to your friends! I can lose hours playing sudoku if I need to fill time!
Booey - you look amazing for 44 (not saying that 44 is old just put you 10 years younger!)
Mal - not long now!!! Hope that your weight loss won't mean a certain dress / outfit not fitting!!!
