Went out with Run England Club last night, did 3.2 miles and it was rather warm

Silver - thats disgraceful saying 56 is old I hope I can keep running for as long as my body will take it (which might not be long the way its going ) oh and well done on your run yesterday

Em - thanks for the compliment lets hope when I get on some sort of medication for these problems I feel 34 lol

Sorry, very busy over the next few weeks. I've been out for 2 more, a 2k and a 3.5k (both in the rain) Total so far is 7.5k but I'm hoping to bump it up today.

My "living" is as a nursing assistant, I'm going back to work middle of July, I really don't want to! I love my job but I'll miss my girls too much.

Evening All no run today as out and about with work lunch and pm. May go tomorrow though if this rain clears up and you know what I can't wait as I'm really loving it again - esp the off road stuff.

Now about the hair - if I was a woman I wouldn't think twice about colouring it so why should t I give it a go now. There was a time when it looked distinguished - you know black with flecks of grey (think George Clooney on a very bad day Haha<img src='/forum/smilies/wink_smiley.gif' /> ) but now it's so white ESP at the front I look more like Father Christmas! I'm sure it would take years off me. Maybe I'll just go for a number one and be done with it although the thought of that scares me even more! What if Ive got a funny shaped head?

I did dye my hair for a few years when I met Mrs S. Jamaican Brown was a perfect match for my locks at the time but I felt a right fool buying the hair dye.

Buy the dye online, delivered to your door with nobody any the wiser! If you want to try it what's stopping you? If you hate it you could cut it shorter briefly while it grows out. Maybe try a subtle temporary shade first.

I need to run but I can't be bothered, too sleep deprived to even consider it.

Dont worry about the run Mal sounds like you need a rest anyway. I'd love to try the old Jamaican Brown again but if I turned up to a meeting with brown hair after having white hair for the last 10 years I think people would notice! <img src='/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif' />

Maybe I should just add some blond highlights slowly? But that would look daft with my black eyebrows! No - I think my hair is a lost cause so I'll stick with what Ive got and be happy with it while its still there! <img src='/forum/smilies/smile_smiley.gif' />

I remember dying my hair for our wedding by the way and when people look st the photos they can't believe it's me!

We had a guy at work with silver hair beard the lot. Then he dyed it brown - the hair, the beard the lot - and it looked so strange - no one ever got used to it.

I think (personally) it would be too much of a shock to go from all over white / grey to jamaican brown! People would stare at you in meetings

If you're going to dye your hair then I suggest bright blue or purple - simply because then it will be obvious to people that you're not dying your hair to make it look like your 'natural' hair colour.

I'd love to have purple hair again!

Sounds like you are all having fun.

Silver - I'm with Em, go for a drastic fun colour, should be fun and can easily grow/wash out.

Boo/Mal - hope you are enjoying the rest, know it can be really helpful.

As for me the time with my mate was good, and it was good to see the OH folks. The problem was the agony that the journey caused. Didn't think that a train ride would be so bad, but couldn't sit comfortable, the bouncing of the train and the amount of walking at train stations, ouch. The result is no more train rides for me, I'm being totally sofa/bed bound until I've been to the hospital on Wednesday.

I am getting excited though as parents are visiting this weekend and is going to be really good to see them Going out for a meal Saturday night, but it has sofa style seats so sure I'll be ok

Thanks for the hair suggestions guys but Im not sure my clients would trust me with their buildings or their money if I suddenly turned up with purple hair and what would I change my name to???

I planned on running today but it lashed it down on my way in and I know the fields will be ankle high in puddles and mud now. Maybe I'll have a run round the cricket field while junior is practising tonight.

We've got the last footie tournament of the year on Sunday (hurray) and practise on Sat so it's another full on weekend. Next weekend is the sleepover at London Zoo so ditto too.

i was dead lazy today, woke up at 6 with the alarm and decided not to go running.

Then I said to my friend who offered me a run, no thanks.

And instead, we're ordering dominos. Slippery slope. Two days in a row. By this time next week, i'll be a hippo again!

Maam - I hope I break out of my lethargy and i'll go for a run on sunday - until then, i'm thinking food (must be hormonal!)

7 miles this morning. It was a hard slog, I have two new blisters.

Total for the month so far: 41.72. 33.3 miles to go

I got myself a new job this week. I currently work at Ericsson Television in sales - been there for 7 years but in August I start at IBM. Really looking forward to it and not having to travel to France every other week!!! Just the M27 instead!

Hi everyone hope you all had a good weekend I ran Friday afternoon and did 6.4 miles and thats it, so my total is 26 miles totally slacking and will pull finger out this week had wine whilst watching the footy fri night then Sat night drank again as family meal out for mums b/day, so very very bad girl at the weekend

Em - well done on your running your putting me to shame also congrats on the new job *pats on the back*

Maam - how you feeling have you recovered from the train journey

Cant believe its ruddy monday again already boss out next 2 days so have to work till 5 boohoo

Hi All had a mad weekend which went something like this Friday evening cricket practise and a couple of pints, Saturday morning footie practise followed by hour long kids and Dads game followed by end of season BBQ and several pints, Sunday Aylesbury footie tournament at the rugby club followed by oh yes a couple of pints.

Knackered and aching everywhere, had a great weekend but didn't run! Unless you count the couple of miles on the footie field that is ( I know you lot won't count these so no point in me asking)

Well done on job Emma sounds like a good move.

Silver your weekend sounds as boozy as mine

Well I got out last night for a quick 3.4 miles, did my local route but the other way round so had to go up the hill managed to run up half of it and thats the best I have done yet its the hill from hell. I walk just as fast as when I try and run lol but have set myself alittle challenge that I need to have run up it within the next month as I will have been road running a year and about time I did it

Me - 10 miles (tomorrow at hospital so fingers crossed for good news)

Silver - 15.8miles (34.2 to go )

Em - 35.5miles (39.5 to go)

Boo - 29.48 miles (keep it going)

Stripes - 14 miles + anything from drinking run

Mal - 7.5km ( 8.5k to go, but with wedding less than 2 weeks away sure you've a lot more on your mind )

Hi all,

Hope everyone is okay. Will try to catch up properly when I get a chance.

Trip was good, went to some great places but didn't get a chance to run

Been manic since I came back, OH's dad has been ill for a while and took a turn for the worse whilst I was away so been trying to help out and make up for deserting her for 9 days

Not managed to run either with trying to catch up at work etc so my total for the month has gone totally out of the window
