Lurking no more!
Well done on the run Silver, bet it felt good to be back out.
I'm feeling lucky after the rain today that we don't have flooding, lots of folks back home do
Stripes - such sad news. I'm glad that his passing will bring him peace. Nothing worse than seeing a loved one suffering. Its the sense of loss afterwards that can get a bit overwhelming. Nothing you can do to make it better except speak of him often if it helps your OH. I prefer people to talk about loss - others like to bury it. Hope that all the funeral arrangements go smoothly. maybe plan a short weekend away afterwards to treat your OH - maybe a spa weekend like Boo did with her mum? something to look forward to.
Silver - good job on your run. It sounds to me like a good lie in and a chilled weekend is in order - although with kids its not so easy huh!
Boo - sorry to hear about your knuckles - mine do that too although its only really base of my thumb joints I get bad pain in - not too bad at the moment
Maam - saw about the flooding last night - are your family newcastle area where there's been the flash floods? wherever they are, i hope it doesn't destroy property or put lives at risk!
Mal - ONE MORE SLEEP!!!!!
I've done 73.5 miles this month. I don't run on saturdays normally, but I have to get 1.5 miles in tomorrow or I won't make my 75 mile total.
Oh yeah, and booked a holiday, flight and transfer last night to go to Greece (kos) on wednesday next week. I'm bricking it as i've done them all separately and I'm not normally 'that brave'.... I just feel more confident going through a tour operator I guess....
Stripes - an honour indeed and sure that you'll do a brilliant job and that you OH will be very proud and touched with you. I think Em's idea of taking your OH away for a pamper weekend is a good one, after the funeral to give her time to chill, relax and have her own time.
Em - Well done on the running, enjoy the holiday. I've done booking seperate and it turned out fine, but know what you mean about being daunting.
Mal - Bet you are hyper at the moment, have a great day tomorrow and can't wait to hear how it has all gone, think the invite got lost in the post
I've been doing 120 sit ups a day and various weight circuits to make a half hour work out, up to doing it daily, feeling good for it, but it just isn't a run
Have a great weekend and catch up soon
Had a rest day yesterday but finishing at 3 today so will have a run then and also tomorrow. I will let you know my feeble mileage for the month after all complete
Em - well done on our mileage this month lucky you going away, wish i was
Mal - lots of luck for your big day cant wait to hear about and see a pic
Silver - glad you got out for your run and enjoyed it
Maam - well done on the daily upper bod workouts
I've found this on the internet as an upper body cardio workout. What do you think?
Think looking at wrong link. I found it showed a video of upper body cardio workout. I had googled it. Going to give it a go and see how it works.
Not long now Mal
Silver, welll done on the run, sounds like it was lovely.
I've been thinking of Mal too, hope the day has gone really well. I have another friend getting hitched today today too
Hope everyone is doing well.
Em - did you get out for your 1.5?
I've had my scan this morning, think went well but won't get results till 11th July Been walking a bit too, well on crutches but nice to do some.
Not been yet for my 1.5..... i know if I don't do it, i'll kick myself but its an 8 miler in the morning too -
I am definitely procrastinating but there's still 6 hours left of June!
Not sure about honeymoon - don't recall seeing anything or maybe it'll be a surprise that she won't find out about until today.
I went to a school fete today and judged the 'photography' competition. It's horrid ultimately choosing winners and losers because some kids do take it personally if they don't win....
I liked your training vid Maam for people with lower body injuries! I've downloaded the nike training app from the istore and have been using my 'powerspin' thing to tackle the old bingo wings / dinner lady arms. One day, i'll be toned......
Hope Mal is having a great day. Been thinking about her too.
Went to see the Olympic Torch come through my hometown today. Nice to see there is no corporate sponsorship attached to the whole thing
Totalled up my mileage for June and it comes in at a pathetic 34 miles
Must do better in July!
75.5 miles done for June. Phew. Just went out with my sister - she has not run for a year, had only been running a couple of months last year before falling pregnant.
Annoyingly she is just like my brother - tall and gazelle like, not an ounce of fat upon her (baby Hannah is 9 weeks old) and she did 2 miles, off the bat with me, no stopping in 20 minutes. Seems like she'll be the natural and i'll be the slogger! typicals
Not had the beetroot juice yet. keep looking at it......
It's been a lovely day today, I hope the weather has been lovely for Mal, Mr Mal and the kids. Mal when you're on here next 'CONGRATULATIONS'
Hey all, I'll do the final total for June tomorrow.
Silver are you still doing July? If so my pledge is nil on the running, but will still be doing sit ups, weights and the new upper body cardio I found, oh and hopefully a holiday to Cuba, lots of swimming and diving
Good new, weighed in this morning and still managed to loose 0.6kg in June, happy with that given how much I've been laid up and trying to sort weight only on diet. Looking to continue loss in July.
Mrs Mal - hope you've woken happy this morning with your new husband xxx
8 miles this morning.
67 to go.....
6 miles for me. Went up a lovely country lane not far from ours, it is usually deserted but this morning there were loads of walkers and a car or two to dodge. Still enjoyed my run though, hope to get over 70 for the month if the knee doesn't play up.

I'll try to put a better picture up later but not many photos back yet. We had a wonderful day with no rain. No honeymoon for us I'm afraid, maybe we'll have a delayed one.
