Lurking no more!
Yeah it is great, probably one of the biggest thrills I get. Just seeing the happiness and excitement it gives people when they realise "I can do this!" It is an alien thing breathing underwater and takes some a bit of getting used to, once there a whole new world opens up. A prettier one too
That feeling will be amazing and can't be described in words..
Welcome Roger, too true.
awe inspiring stuff Maam, maybe on day if I can find the time I might give it a go.
Hill sprints last night 3.6 miles in total six reps up the hill, I was blowing a bit, easy run tonight and thats me for the week.
Is it me or has it gone quiet lately??? Well I'm a happy bunny now. Just got what I need to in order to apply for my next level of dive instructor and got a deal to do the one after that too next year
Also, had an accidental breakthrough today, I jogged slowly up the stairs!!! Well, that is my running for now.
No work till Friday but a busy busy week ahead.
Hope everyone has had a great weekend
Good running Stewart.
Sounds amazing Maam.
Very quiet on here.
Had a couple of little aches and pains last week so decided to do try one of the easeback weeks from one the Marathon plans I am looking at.
Did four runs of just over 8 miles easy, 33 miles in total.
That sounds like a rough week not an easy week! Good on you though, still great running
Hope those aches and pains are gone after your easy week, 33 miles is mighty impressive, for a recovery week
Maam, it has been a little quiet in here hopefully the banter will start flowing again, won't be long and you'll be out jogging round the block
Friday's run was just over 5 miles in an hour, kept the HR average below 75%
Today's long run was an out and back along the canal out to Dochgarroch, HR monitor went wonky after mile 8, key stats were 11 miles in 2hrs.
The scenery up north is something to behold it was a gym sandwich tonight, a two mile run there and a five miler after 80mins all in.
I think I'm going to enter Loch Ness in 2013, do you think I'm mad
I think that is great Stewart, think your ready and have time to prep? Sure you'll do great.
As for me, I saw the specialist yesterday who is happy with me so far and has said that I can run again as soon as the physio says I have enough strength in my knee Bonus
Ok, off to write another job application
Everyone ok? enjoying the freezing conditions?!!
I woke up at six this morning, looked at out of the window - thought "torville and dean" so went back to bed. Did a run at lunchtime today instead - a cheeky 5 miles
42 for December so far so am happy with that. Got loads of training to do and a presentation to prepare for to do on friday. Once this is done, i'll be happy to just enjoy the festivities!. Just not having to worry about stuff will be nice!!
Booey and Mal still about? If you're out there ladies - "Hi!!" x
Like it Em, Torville & Dean - made me laugh.
Good running so far
hey Maam - well done on your job up the stairs.... 4 months ago that wouldn't have happened!!!!
I know, it is good, especially when the physio keep saying about refering me back for more surgery. That isn't what my consultant has in mind though, he is very happy for me to get back to everything (inc running) just as soon as the physio says I have strength in my knee
So, here are the fingers crossed for Silverstone I've started well as at least I'm back to diving and teaching, that is step one. I'm cycling, step two
Hi guys hope your all doing good
Never seem to have much time getting on here anymore but I will get on when I can
Maam - am really pleased for you and things are looking up fingers crossed that maybe Silverstone could be a goer yeehaa
I am still running as much as poss which is prob not as much as I wished I was. I have a route of about 3.5 miles I can do round the village under street light which is good did that last night in the fog also did the santa run with my sis a couple of weeks back, my god she was slow haha bless her, we completed it together and she was over the moon
Cant wait to finish on the 21st I am going to run loads over Xmas as I have no real plans and I need to start serious training for Silverstone as I am of course looking for a PB also try shifting a few pounds which will help
Be back on before Xmas
Good to hear from you Boo - keep up the good work, but try to have some you time too. You sound so busy xx
Hi Emma, good to hear you're still working towards your December target, hope the presentation goes well on Friday
Maam, I'll have my fingers crossed for you as well, encouraging noises from your consultant
Stripes, my thoughts exactly I wouldn't have to start a plan until May.
Booey, good to see you around these parts, what time are you hoping for @ Silverstone?
Tuesday was Jog Scotland night, took the 5 mile group around Dalneigh and Central, there was only five of them, so many have started to hibernate because of the cold weather .
Tonight I did an easy 8 miles in 90mins, I could run forever at these paces
I know it isn't running, but I'm nervous and excited. Got a call about 4pm today about the job application I submitted to be considered for 8 available jobs. I've got an interview on Monday just waiting confirmation of time. I'm now bricking it as can't seem to get head straight to be confident.
Have a great weekend all, I'm off home for family time up North xxx
