Ha Emma, I like a drink but can you imagine running the last mile with all that in your stomach?
04/04/2012 at 19:41
Stripes that is brilliant. Please let it be real as I want to enter. Cider and Pork Pie and Crumble and Guiness are top combos.

Ha Ha. It is listed on the events section on here but is subscriber only. Think it is real. I think this smiley :-  would come into play if any of us entered it!

Looks like it finishes at this boozer in London. Maybe you can visit when you're in town for the semis! Looks like a good traditional pub.

I feel hungry for some reason and I could murder a cider now!

I survived the class, just about!

I'm feeling positive as I was a lot fitter tonight than a few months ago.

Well done Mal. Glad it went well

Silver, I will do if I get a chance. I did 3.35 miles tonight and celebrated with a glass of milk. Only the hard stuff for me

04/04/2012 at 22:10
And a Pork Pie I hope!!

and scotch eggs!!

well done Mal!

I'm sure I read somewhere that a chocolate milk, is a better recovery drink than all this lucozade / powerade drinks!  which suits me fine, i'll happily down a milkshake over a glowing blue liquid!!! (screenwash??)

And pasties!

The fizzy Lucozade really upsets my tum do I just stick to water when racing.

Just entered the Oxford HM in October and about to enter Marlow 5. Can't wait to get out there again. Need to find something over the summer - maybe Wycombe but the hills put me off!

Yeah that's true about the milkshake Em, I always keep a stock in the fridge for after running

Wedding is tomorrow 1.30

Have a great Easter everyone

Hi everyone
Hope that the chocolate is not too tempting for everyone!
Is there anyone here that does the 'myfitnesspal.com' to track their weight / exercise?
I've just joined a group 50 / 100 + miles in April....
if anyone else is on this group, let me know and i'll befriend you

Hi all

Emma - I'm on myfitnesspal, find it really useful, my username is maamalade if you want to add me

I haven't been out running since Tuesday as believe it or not, I have another chest infection

I must admit I've been enjoying easter, but not with eggs, but cornflake nest cakes Yum Yum!!!

Happy running and I hope to be out there soon

07/04/2012 at 18:04
Hey - thanks maamalade - I just 'friend requested' you

Em - no laughing at my being over the count today, been naughty with a sinful day.  Back to it tomorrow though.  Feeling so rough I've even cancelled going out tonight
08/04/2012 at 09:32
oh no!!!! i'd never laugh at going over the count - i bet you're under loads too!!! Anyway - I had a day like that a little while ago - it was a double hash brown + angel delight evening! (ON TOP OF MY DINNER!) I was very naughty!!!
08/04/2012 at 10:52
Did someone mention Hash Browns? Mmmmmm!

Hope you are all having a good Easter and not being too indulgent. I've nicked a few chocs from the boys but I've stopped at a full egg!

I haven't run since Reading !!!! Lazy I know but it's a year since I started this very week so I figured a week off wouldn't hurt.

Took the Silver troop to London for the day yesterday - had a great time and everyone behaved even Mrs S!!!! We drove in and parked at Trafalgar Sq as the cost of the train was over 50quid whereas the parking was half that. Took 50mins in and 45mins back. If only driving was that easy every day. Highlight was boys first trip on London Eye - they loved it! Did loads of walking a lot of which with 4yo on my shoulders so that counts as exercise doesn't it?

Off to Easter Egg hunt now - Must remember - I must not eat chocolate, I must not eat chocolate!!
08/04/2012 at 11:05
mmm - hash browns and any potato product that's cooked in a naughty fashion is my downfall. That and white, soft bread products (muffins, crumpets, bread....)

Anyway, did a very nice 5 miler this morning with a girlfriend and thoroughly enjoyed it. now sat in my dressing gown with the red hot chilli peppers playing contemplating chocolate!! (and hash browns!)

happy easter all!
