As long as I'm not still running / walking then

05/05/2013 at 18:14

All best for tomorrow Steph! I think the pink hair should now be your marathon "signature".

hope you have a great big steak in the fridg for your post race feast!

Yes. But we finish 200m from a KFC and some work colleagues might be there... Might be lazy and take everyone there and get two or three buckets. then steak later or on Tuesday.

Hey Steph, thought you'd have been tucked up long ago! Best of luck for tomorrow (not that you need luck) and catch you post race

Good luck - looking warm out there!  Looking forward to your report - enjoy the KFC!

Can't be too long until Steph crosses the line now - hopefully the heat isn't too bad and it is going well - I've had to have a cold shower and lie down after gardening for a couple of hours it was so hot for me.  I'd imagine a marathon in this heat will add a good 10%+ to the time.  Just to get out and run in this unexpected heat is impressive, I'm hiding until later this evening to venture out!

06/05/2013 at 16:12

Err post came up blank

HURRAH bloody hot but I did it!!!!

chip time exactly the same as my Garmin.

4 hours 56 minutes 13 seconds chip and garmin time.

clock time 5:01:15 but took 5m to get through the start line.

thanks Daeve. I even screwed up and took but forgot to put on Vaseline or sun tan lotion.... Bit of a failure. Legs are a bit rubbed from where I poured a couple of bottles of water over myself, and going to be lobster red tomorrow.

Nice one Steph. I set foot in mcDonalds for the 1st time in years after the race. I was starving. Quite fancy a couple of sirloin steaks now.

Hiya Also-Run i also got chicken strips in KFC hehe as well as having the two steaks for tea... Decided to be very literal in my experimenting with eating to help the muscles repair.
