Hi everyone,

Don't have time for a proper catch-up but see that Yvonne and Toby have been doing some good training lately. And that Yvonne is making sure that cake-related stuff carries on being posted here

Work is still as busy as ever and am feeling decidedly worn out by the time I get home each night - since the system upgrade the number of incidents to deal with each day seems never-ending. 

Went out tonight for my first run for a week. Managed 3.5mls at 10:20 pace so was happy with that considering my lack of running lately due to the hot spell. I haven't gone back on my decision to give the Chippenham HM a miss. In fact, having decided I was never going to be ready in time it feels like a weight has been lifted and I can enjoy my running again. I still think I'll be ready for the Ridgeway Run on 13th Oct so am going to amend my training plan for that.

Naked running Toby! I hate running without my iPod. 

Really need to fit my tempo session in tonight, have loads to do as I leave my current job tomorrow after 5 years  so lots of cakes will be expected, considering we have over 100 staff in the deparment, that's a lot of cakes.

Tempo run of 5.5 miles in 54 minutes completed  10 minute warm up jog followed by 3x 10 minute fairly comfortable hard running 2 minute recovery run 10 minute cool down jog. Didn't feel too bad, and didn't feel as  as lasts weeks

Well done on your tempo run at least you managed to fit it in ...

DVD for strength for me today then just a 20 min run at HMP pace tomorrow I may make it a bit longer but have got a 2 hour run on Saturday morning to do so hoping for 12 plus miles then ...that should eradicate all calories eaten from the fruit and nut bar that jumped into my shopping trolley yesterday all 120 gramms of it

It's Gillian Michaels 30 day shred !!! And can I say if you have a week off from doing it and then you go balls out and do it again you feel like you've been hit by a train !!! I'm only now on level 2 as I don't follow it religiously if I did I wouldn't feel so stiff after ...there are some amazing results online from doing it and my daughter is doing it most days at the moment I only do 2 days but should do it more ..

I have that one level 3 isn't that big of a jump as 1 to 2 - I did lose a few inches doing that

I do have to put it on silent though as listening to her does my head in  I actually never watched level 3 till the other day and I've had it for over a year .....I think it does the job though those compound exercises doing arms and legs together certainly tests your balance and core strength  I like it anyway

Well that’s the 20 miler for this month done managed to run it all this time took me 3:10:57 with and Avg pace of 9:25 so not bad

Set out to do 12 mile LSR, could only manage 4!!!! Note to self do your LSR before you have an afternoon/evening out with the girls  will do 12 next weekend instead of the 8

Afternoon all

well 10 miles for me today the whole thing took 1:26:20 don't know about pace as I've had to send my Garmin back for repair sent it today they say it will be 10 to 14 days but probable be quicker so let hope there right

Oh Dee I can so relate to your post from yesterday ...it's my birthday today and I shuffled all my runs up to give myself a rest day today ,but yesterday afternoon I was a little worse for wear !!!! I work in a pub and let's just say I had a few drinks brought for me,mind you I was a good girl and did my scheduled run in the morning before work....mind you I soooo couldn't of run today  

Back to it tomorrow though with the DVD and a little run ..... now should I do it before I go shopping and spend my birthday money 

Toby good mileage and I reckon the pace is worked out by dividing 86 mins by 10 which is 8.6 so nearing the 9 min mile pace ....you thought your garmin was playing up the other Saturday when we ran

Afternoon all

Haven’t decided what to do today it’s a tossup between  a 5 mile run and a gym session in the garage after the gym session with my wife’s PT i do know i need to work on my upper body strength so i suppose i should get on the weight bench in the garage

Had a rest day yesterday but must get a run in today even if it's just a 3 mile recovery run on the treadmill

had an email yesterday morning to say my replacement Garmin was on its way just looked at the delivery tracker for UPS and according too that it should be here today so that’s a 4 day turn around

That's not bad Toby fairly quick. I must do a tempo run tonight, just feeling so tired. Started a new job this week and my hours are different, it'll take a few weeks for my body to adjust to getting up earlier and going to bed earlier
