The Cake Runners Athletics Club :-)
well done Ecky, thats a great piccy!! you look chuffed glad you had a lovely day
jude, hope you are feeling ok after your decision not to run but i understand that, and its right decison if you dont feel prepared for it. there are plenty other marathons to do and another season of running to aim for
MC, well done on your run too-how are you feeling after it?
well, Rocker and i had a good day marshalling at the Duathalon, pretty chilly start but then lovely autumn sun in a lovely area. quite surpirisingly low number of people in the Duathalon..but the event went well after some confusion over the runners crossing with the bikers at a certain area on the course ....no casualties though and we got a ride in the Ambuvan
loula - well done for marshalling
I feel ok after my run, although my left knee is a little niggly, but that one has been a little since I hurt it in the summer on a steep descent in Switzerland. It'll be ok.
swimming later - hope we aren't working on kicking again
Thanks guys, I really did enjoy it and it was such a lovely day although very very cold.
Loula well done for marshalling. I hope you got lots of Thanks. I made sure I thanked every one. Had some very nice policemen helping out too.
Mathschick, well done on your run, hope you knee is okay.
rocker - hope your achillies is feeling a bit better today
If Felix would have jumped from just 2 miles higher up, we could call him the Marathon Jumper! Still very impressive though, don't you think? Maybe next time he'll use a bungy cord!
omg!!!!!!!!!!! mr chili...i have been seeing little clips of felix but always with his space helmet on- HES HOT!!!!!!!! WHY didnt i notice this before?????????????????:0
Rocker, i was merely commenting on how HOT his erm, machinery probably got ...ahem..
its rather a big handle on that telescope isnt it???? ahem *looks innocent*
Wow he is a bit of a Hottie. How come I never noticed him either.
Eeeeerm Rocker, our Loula is very sweet and innocent
oh, i think I better go and find some news articles about this jumper man....ones with pictures
rocker - oh no, will it be ok for abo?
MC,getting 20 miles under your belt will definately be enough to see you through your race.Adrenaline will help on that last 6.2 miles.Just make sure you have got your fueling up sorted so that you don't run out of energy when running at race pace, and you'll be fine.
Jude, you have made the right decision. It is hard to juggle so much in your life, and a marathon takes a lot of time and energy.
Ecky,well done on your 10k
Franny, sorry to hear you are still suffering from your achilles.I hope it eases off soon.
Rocker,i hope your heel becomes less stiff too.
Went for a 5k run today and felt ok with no pain from the knee, although it still looks bruised, and is sore to touch.Running was fine. What a difference to last weekends run in Croatia. It was bloomin freezing.
The tune for tomorrow is Just by Radiohead.
