My problem is no time to run.

Matt - my knee is improving, not enough to run yet, but definitely getting better

good luck with the physio, hope you have a good physio, I have saw a physio in the past that was a bit rubbish really, didn't really understand running... current physio is brill and used to be the physio for Notts county FC and has worked with a few elite sportspeople so really understands and knows how to get people training again

Afternoon folks.

Sorry not been around but have been laid low with this bad cold..all headachy,shivery and just genarally unwell..was not off work though yesterday wish I hadn't bothered..boss was in a hell of a mood.Anyway on days off now and me and hubby are going away for the weekend..loking forward to it.

AF......AMAZING time....well done on you thrashing out a PB...Great race report...loved reading it

MC..well done on your fast walking..it won't be long till your running again.

Well because of the start of my cold on Friday I haven't went out running yet and am having a rest from the gym this week to..will start up again after we get back from our weekend away.

Thanks for everyones kind words. I still feel good but acey. I reckon I would have smashed my 10k time as well. I estimate it woulh have been c43minutes. Will go for a 10k PB next year. Currently 45.02.

Franny-Quite a post.Where are you off to with Mr Franny at the weekend?

Jude-That is a shame but we are all your friends. Are thse women Turks or English?

Matt-Hope the physio sort you out.

MC-Sounds like you are sonn going to be running. I guess it is no loss to lose your anoxeic friends.

Ecky-So I am a running hero! My ego will get big! If I can inspire other people to run that is fine by me.Shame it is the only sport I am any good at!

I went out for a 4.75 achey run yesterday and s slow and achey 5.5 mile run today. My body will rests tomorrow!

Little moo is fulk of cold. Much coughing and a very runny nose. His eyes are watery too. But, we have a new recipe - double choc chip and orange pancakes. Not good for my diet but fab for moo

plans for 2013? A half ironman - even if I have to walk the run bit!! That is my main aim. Would like to do a marathon, but not at the detriment of the half ironman

Morning!

Sorry I have been awol a bit too. Like Franny & Ecky I have just been so manically busy, not sleeping well and fighting a sore throat/hot eyes/stuffy nose. Yesterday morning I had to give in and phone to say I wouldn't be at the baby group I help run... did mean I got lots of admin and prep done.

Hope all sick and hurty people feel better soon *big hugs all round*

Jude - special big hugs to you. Maybe we should have our CRAC towers Christmas party in Turkey this year? Can we find the plane we hijacked last year? Ecky and Loula where did you hide it?

My plans for 2013 currently consist of the half-ironman in June. I was hoping to do the Berlin marathon but it sold out in 3 1/2 hrs Am still going over to visit my brother and we will spend the weekend cycling which is his love.

So I need an autumn marathon. Matt (my favourite running partner and absolutely hero) do you think you'll be mended by then? Shall we find an October marathon to do together?

Might consider druids. You can walk it can't you? Perhaps I'll do two days of run/walk.

Have to go... am supposed to working... then I have to make pumpkin pies this afternoon ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow Have 16 people to cook for.

physio has told me to start some run/walking, excited but scared.....told me to do it on a treadmill so will go to gym later and have a little try

Afternoony all

just back from a very muddy big dog walkie round the resevoirs and hills....it's where I usually run and am itching to get back out there properly...having done some treadmill runs I think i am ready to get back outside yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy but will wait till after my weekend away and hopefully this cold will have gone too....We iz off for a norty  weekend in Amsterdam..well Rotterdam and then to a lovely wee village that we love...so pretty...just time away the 2 of us will be nice ...we try and do this as we don't really go out much here..so save our pennies for a weekend away and the flights are so cheap from Edinburgh to Amsterdam if you book early enough.

MC...great news bout the walk/run...take it easy though.

Chilli...hope you get over the sniffles..mine is much improved but just been so so sleepy so i have been giving in to it and listening to my body for once.

My aims for 2013...NOT TO GET INJURED and well to get my mara PB in Edinburgh and just to enjoy my running and hopefully be faster and stronger.

The achillies soreness seems a bit better now.  I'm going to take the rest of the week off and go again next Tuesday with week five of the 10k plan.

I'd also love to go 2013 completely injury free as well, but I bet it doesn't happen.  At least I'm confident it won't involve the troublesome knee.  Also on my radar for 2013: complete both the 100 pushups and 25 pullup/chinups plans.
