wow its been a while.

Had some setbacks to be honest.

Had a week or so of basically 'cant be bothered'.

Then I made myself to start again and get into it - and it worked for a week

My ankle went. It erm clicked on the stairs as I was going up them and it hurt.

So another week or so out to heal, then the kids went back to school.

Bad idea.

Second week in, my son came home with a cold and basically infected the household, and because I had pneumonia last year, my chest cant stand to get a small cold. Coughing and spluttering last week = no runs [bearing in mind my ankle situation] , then visited me GP and low and behold I have a chest infection.

On amoxcillian 500mg for the rest of the week and I prob wont start again until at least 11th October to give myself some healing process. And if Amox dont cleear it completely I'd be out for even longer. arrg.

On another note;

So am looking into winter/wet/autumn gear [cheap as poss [Sports direct]] as I only have shorts - did have 2 paitrs until I decided to catch one pair pocket on a radiator and lose a leg .

Any adive on running jackets / watherproofs ect for the months ahead?

Hi all once again.

Well I got me new toy of a Galaxy S which comes with GPS just before xmas.

Then Runkeeper has the offer of pro download for free in Jan.

Even better.

Currently following a different training plan and will do me first ever race at the end of Feb.

Between Oct and Dec, I didn't do anything running wise and i am another new years resolution runners that WONT quit or give up this time.

Also I managed to get a waterproof running jacket for £15 [SD]

Just for the trousers....

Going on a steady 1.5miler later this afternoon.. ..

runkeeper stats:

well done, keep it up

If you are aiming to build up distance then I wouldn't worry too much about speed right now. Could be better to slow right down and then you'll find you can go further, or you could even try walk/run on at least one run a week so that you build up to a longer run. remeber too that rest is important! There are some good training plans on here that show the sort of progression that can work. Good luck!

heres the SRC for today : linky

Just 4 of us today, nice atmosphere and hope the numbers increase next week!

due to do 30minute steady with 5min warm+cool down tonight after the kids are in bed and am delaying eating until after the run, as I don't like eating 1-2hours before any exercise.

Feel tired today - baby waking up in the night don't help.

Surprisingly no soreness from the last 2 runs, and also found a 10K that I will think of entering on the 1st April and its only £12.

Am actively looking for events and are committed to SRC on Tuesdays; just finding one that's easily commutable as I don't drive - yet.

Done the 30 min steady and it was quite a hard one with the wind blowing some hill climbs, walking parts of it as well, also with the combination of being a clear cold night, but nice clear sky with a bright moon.

Also weighed myself - wish I hadnt.

So overall nearly done 5K in 30 mins with an av pace of  6.11min/km

heres me run from last night
16/01/2012 at 13:26

My weekend.

Due to go on a run on Friday - but was sooo tired and on Sat didnt do anything because of family commitments.

But last night - bloody cold at 8pm - went on a steady 40min run and managed to walk 3 times - a whole lot better than the last run - and cover just over 6KM.

Me GPS tracking was way off last night in bits, but heyho.

Felt much more comfortable and could see that I was covering the ground faster.

The next stage of me comeback is to look at what I am eating....

Heres Runkeeper stats

Tomorrow is the Sweatshop Running Community 5.5KM.....
