Thanks guys, we shall see!

Cake: well it does seem to me that I'm a grade-A masochist - I either 'hurt' my body with naughty naughty food or with evil exercise!

A touch of the cheeky walk never did anyone any harm. Once I got onto the solid running bit of my programme, I used to sometimes need a bit of a walk - maybe to have a drink, 'cos I'm useless at doing that on the move...

I don't run far enough to need to take water with me but that's good because I really hate having to carry anything when running

Holy Shizzle I did it without stopping...moreover some freaky imp sprite or demon took over and I continued without stopping until 30 mins...!

My lungs did jump out of my mouth to see what was going on, and my right shin is imminently going to shatter, but it's pretty good for an 18 stone fatty!

Good work there - the "doing a bit extra" thing happens to me too, I reckon it's the warm fuzzy high from endorphins. Feels good though, don't it?

It does! (ow, ow)

About half-way through I just became sort of 'balanced', in that it wasn't getting harder, and whilst not easy, it felt sustainable, so I sort of knew I could manage to continue.

I call that "progress".

Great going

Intrigued by your *cheeky walk* PBAB

You'd have to see it to believe it, Cinders. It's quite cheeky. Almost rude...

You mean you guys also run in the new Jack Wills cheekless jogging bottoms?!

Congrats on the run today, that's fantastic!

Thanks Evie, luckily I don't have to run again until Saturday

What an inspiring thread Tobyloby...

I've been running for 5 years now after a mid-life break of 20 years...

Every year I find it tough to run after a winter break (due to snow and ice and wanting my injuries to heal). But threads like this make me want to run ever more...

I have a half marathon in June (I do 2 or 3 a year now) and have just started back running this season. If I have your great attitude I'll be fine. Like you 5 years ago I started out with 10 minute runs and it went from there... and yes... there is always pain somewhere... no matter how fit you get...

Thanks Nick

I had an early-life break from running, from 0-30 years

Morning

So how far is planned for tomorrow TL?

09/03/2012 at 16:45
At least 30 mins, I think, but I'm not going to be strict, as long as I still complete the minimum my app program requires.

Though I'm still sore/aching!

Yep and get your feet up!

Hehe if it is not unreasonable to link a fat dude to an addictive personality, is it wise for me to sample the pharmacopeia?

Not sure if anyone ever recreationally abused anti-inflammatory medicine! I did find a 12-step program for running though
