HI all...
Up here in Kilmarnock, now I know there are plenty other runners, I see loads of people out, and I always say evening, trouble is getting someone around the same pace.
Up here we have a jogging club, I have seen them out, if that's jogging I just wonder what my slow plod is. Anyway, anyone looking for somebody to natter to while getting fit ??

Also new to the site and to running. Would love to meet running partner(s) in South Norwood/Selhurst area - have only seen v. fast people out on the streets - there must be someone as slow as me to share the wolf whistles/car horns??

I live in Holmfirth, just south of Huddersfield and run about 10 min miles, I think. I would like to have a running partner. I can do some weekdays in daytime or weekends (as long as it does not clash with kids activities)

I'm in Wakefield. I noticed someone mentioned Dewsbury - whereabouts are you? I would love to join a club but would like to be able to find out more without actually turning up! How much does it cost on average?

Hi Scarlet
I'm in Croydon, quite near to you.
How fast are you? I just ran my first 10k in 1 hour 11 mins, so I'm quite slow.
I can only run in the evenings when hubby gets home from work, so I get a "babysitter". I also try to run before lunch on Sat, and Sun.
Tell me more!

Hi Helen I live in Pontefract which is'nt far from you if you fancy meeting up for a run.

How fast/far do you run? I'm around 11 minute miles on average and can only motivate myself to run 2 or 3 miles on my own, but with a partner run 5 miles or possibly more.

I've only run once in the last five weeks due to injury but before that I was running at eight minutes a mile. The longest distance I have run is twelve miles but on average I was doing between three to six miles in a session. I am starting to run again as I have applied for the Leeds Abbey dash on December 1st. If you fancy meeting for a run I can run at your pace after not running for the past five weeks I doubt if I could run as quick as I was before.

Hmm. You sound a bit quick for my little legs!! I've only run a couple of times since the GNR which was 3 weeks ago now. If you think you won't leave me for dust within metres how about meeting up somwhere? Not sure where as I haven't really ventured far towards Pontefract - are there any parks etc between us? Send me an email with any ideas.

Where abouts in Wakefield are you and at what time of the day/week can you run?
Not sure about any parks etc between us because like you I have'nt really ventured much further than Featherstone which is the next town to Pontefract.

Anyone in Ellesmere Port area?
I'm very new and running at 10 minute miles. Can manage 6 every now and then, but usually 3-4 is more like it!

Anyone living in Bolton, Lancashire interested in running and training with a 11-12 minute miler? I dearly want to get faster but lack someone to keep me going these dark nights.
