Starting again from the beginning!

Up Date -  My Virtual Run to Gdansk from Clacton Started on the 6th March 2012 -

I am pleased to announce that 930 miles later I have this morning arrived Woo Woo!!!! Temperature is 37 degrees but feels like 30!!!!!!

Now where am I off to next?

Turkish delight mid run?!?!? Now that's my kind of energy bar!!!

Missed last nights run due to trick or treatng with the kids so ran home from football training tonight. It was fairly chilly (2') but once i got going quite a nice run. Covered 5.2 miles in exactly 53 minutes, not bad as well over half the run was uphill.

Grendel, how about running to the North pole for christmas? Its about 2700 miles from me so you should be there for christmas 2013!

Back from my end of season meeting at Inverness. Far too much food and drink, though when it comes to the drink I am a complete lightweight. Felt quite virtuous going for a run the following morning but had very heavy legs.

Found out why soon after, as I have come down with a stinking cold. Got home at 10:00 yesterday morning and went straight to bed. 

Hopefully it will have cleared for Monday as I have a dental appointment to reaffix my bridge which is coming loose. Also getting an impression taken as this is the start of the process for getting implants fitted, the cost of which is scarily expensive.

No running for now, hopefully back to it on Tuesday.

Just getting started again after 3 years of zero exercise. Did a couple of 5k's & 10k's in 2009 now I'm back at square 1 . So far i've done

Sun. 5mins run/3mins walk x3    1.87m

Wed 7 mins run/2 mins walk x3    2.5m

Going out tonight  for 8mins run 2mins walk x3 (wish me luck!)

p.s. Turkish Delight during a run? can't decide if its genius or madness!

Thanks for the encouragement Just Run! That one was a bit tough, it's the 1st time I've checked my timer to see how many minutes are left . I stuck with it until the end though

Welcome on board 'all stitched up' I'm sure it will get easier the more you run.

Ended up back in bed after lunch yesterday and did not surface for several hours. Normally a cold for me is 2 days of sniffing and sneezing then I'm back to normal but this one has been much worse with a hacking cough as well. I even felt out of breath going up the stairs. Feeling a bit better this morning, been up an hour and not sneezed yet.

Got 35 physics students staying this weekend. Could be a slow clean when they leave tomorrow.

OK I'm starting from scratch...well I haven't run since VLM in 09.  Now with clearance to run again starting a "race" tomorrow is  very daunting...10K...in Somerset.  Seems bizarre to think I raced every weekend...

Just got back from 13.2 very chilly miles tonight 2.34 so not mega fast but fast enough for a training run...

Feels nice and a little scary at the same time that that is the last "half" out of the way! Longest run left now is an 8 next saturday then the sunday after is the Mara!!

Morning (just) everyone. Later run than usual this morning, nice slow 6.1 miles. Very wet lanes, lots of hills and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Found some public footpaths (fields) to add to my runs too!

Went for an 'easy' 3 miles tonight, a little quicker than planned, 3.06 in 29:42 but felt very easy and as it was a little chilly outside I had to ditch the shorts for the first time too.
