Drum roll please..........

........I actually got out of bed when my alarm went off at 5am this morning, and despite the -4 temp, got my shorts on and went for a 3 mile easy run. So glad i went, felt great!

Well done - there is something special about stupid o'clock when the temperature drops so low and the skys are clear - - now less than 5 miles from 400 miles too!!!

400 reached at long last. Not the greatest total but still 400 miles more than anyone who doesn't run! Or 40,000 calories more which means lots more chocolate cake and barely a belly to speak of now! Also managed to squeeze into a pair of jeans that i was only ever able to wear when i hit a 100 mile month about 2 years ago. If the kids football is off tomorrow i'll squeeze in an easy one before Sunday otherwise it'll be 6 or 7 Sunday. Sooooo glad to be back into it.

One van driver did give me a "you're clearly nuts!" look as i galloped through a foot deep stretch of water along one lane but a fantastic run today. Rain, wind, mud, and hills.

Not exactly silly o'clock but out at 7am this morning for a nice easy recovery run of 2 1/2 miles. Yesterdays run took it out of me a little but I feel much better now i've had a run.

Hey all, back from the (almost) sunny Spain! Glad to see the miles ticking by now Just Run!
I've had nearly a whole month now with only one ten mile run in that time!
My Achilles needs testing me thinks!
It's been nice to have a break but I'm starting to get itchy feet!
Going to try and head out in the morning for a little stretch...

Finally got myself back into it again..4 hilly miles in 42 minutes! Pretty happy with that!
felt strange tonight but I guess that's just the break..

Well I have 5 months till the NDW50 now...just printed of my next training (guide) schedule looks a little tasty!

Oh well, hold tight its gonna be one hell of a ride...its ultra time!

Good luck - 42 minutes hilly has got to be good - Good luck over the next 5 months!!!!!

Me? still plodding away, have some sort of chest infection at the moment so keeping it slow and steady - am going to take a few days off over christmas. Will be nice to turn over and go back to sleep for a few days.

 eeeew nasty time! lol! Chest infections suck! I used to get pretty bad ones twice a year that would last at least a month...try steaming to see if it helps a little

Hi - newly running again, too - but running at night so far. First run back last night and did 1.6 miles in 14'33

Am on a personal challenge to run every day for a year! 

5am? I hope I get to that stage..

Well done and welcome Blogger Jogger! 

That's a great challenge, listen to your body though, if you feel really tired remember that a rest day is not a bad thing!

If you really want to run every day remember to cut the miles down a little on every 3rd week as a "rest and recovery" week, it will help keep the injuries away

Had a better night sleep last night so hopefully the chest infection is on the way out - Ran 20 times a minute this morning brisk without extending to myself to far - just concentrating on form - am looking forward to a break now - (just been given a £50 Sports Direct voucher by my two bosses - feel a spend coming on)

Welcome Blogger Jogger I like the personal challenge you have set your self so may look to join you in that - (mind I have only missed a couple of days this year and 7 days off when we were on holiday in the summer)

In adervtantly ran 6 miles this morning (meant to do 5). The weather was - well I think crap sums it up nicely. Very wet, very windy with the sea spray coming over the sea wall - still run done and looking forward more tha ever to turning over and going back to sleep on Monday morning!!!!!

5 miles this morning - nearly there now and a well deserved (or muc h needed) break I think.
