very little shade in Old Deer Park - and somehow it's always a baking hot day for it

Did you see any old dears?

talking of cheap wine I bought one of those wine boxes- a rose. Very tacky I know but something very appealing about having 3L on tap in the fridge- well about 2 L by now.

Did you do RFL Flr? I did it there a few years ago - no shade at all is there??

had to go and have a lie down when I'd finished new Pb of 26.45 - (it was a pretty small race and i think most of the were non-runners but that's not the point!!)

Hmmm, that sounds a bit too like serious r***ing talk for this thread, Mrs W!

The lie down we can approve of.

Though strictly speaking, cake should also be involved....

She's doing LeJoG isn't she?? now THAT sounds like hard work.

it was nice - with strawberry jam and clotted cream!

Well, I'm afraid she got as far as Bristol, and then had to abandon the attempt to walk all of it. Because of the feet, as shown on her blog. Most annoying, because her fitness was fine, it was just the blistering.

She's going to get to J O'G but some of it will be by bus train or car. I've given her a lift to Kendal.
