Irreverant chat and daily training
hahaha! Bet you end up wearing the yoghurt.
*puts up her umbrella in case Floosie is having lunch*
Went to my first 'Buggy Babes' class today, basically circuits with buggies We did lunges, tricep dips and press ups and I even.........r*n.........*thud*
Ooooh! My legs ache today,
But in a good way
Went to first post natal exercise class at the hozzie today. Every new mum can have 10 sessions. Really enjoyed it. Basically 15 min aerobic warm up, 25 mins on the cv equipement and 20 mins mat work. The highlight was ny first r*n in a year!!! 10 mins on the dreadmill
Wooohoooo! First proper r*n since baby was born 1.5 miles! Not a lot, but it's a start.
Nothing burst open.
I didn't wee myself.
The Running Samster is back
you weren't really trying if you didn't wee yourself
Great news Samster! Especially the bit about not weeing yourself, that's always a good sign.
It is the return of Garrow's Law tonight. A programme I always find depressing, despite the presence of Rupert Graves. Raffles likes it though, so I shall have no excuse to avoid doing my course work while it is on. Unless I can find someting in the next few hours
Good week exercise wise.
Sun - 1.5m r*n
Mon - 3m walk
Tues - 3.6m walk
Wed - Buggy Babes + 3m walk
Thurs - 2.6m walk + post-natal ex class
Fri - 2.25m walk + 3.6m walk
Sat - day off
I'm exhausted just reading that!

Tuesday - 4 mile very hilly r*n
Wednesday - serious Dad Dancing at annual conference (until 2am)

Friday - Nothing (heaache)
Saturday - Park Run
Sunday - naff all, again!
Hello, I'm new (and slightly bored at work on a Friday evening)!
So I'm guessing this is place to share training etc. I'm slowly gearing up for my first 5k after starting running about a month ago & looking for virtual training buddies!
So this week:
Monday, core ball. dance class, 2k treadmill
Wednesday my first ever circuits class (made running seem easy!)
Thursday Cardio Kick class - not done this in a while and managed a higher intensiity than I remembered
Plan for the weekend Saturday: Wk 4 of Couch to 5k (NHS) (30mins run/walk intervals)Sunday: Wk5 (pt1) C25K
Goal - run 5k (no walking) in January.
Yes, we share training on here but also indulge in long chats about nothign in particular and generally increas the smut and irreverance level of the forum. Feel free to join in!
That's a busy week on the exercise front. What's Cardio Kick? Anything like Body Combat?
yeah - anything to alleviate a dull workday
Cardio Kick is a bit like an aerobics class with punching and kicking in the routine. And built in are intervals of press-ups, lunges, fast jab punches, sprints etc. And it's a 60 min class so always a bit of a challenge.
This week plan is kinda similar, but ends with the third run of wk 5 C25K which is a 20 min run with no walking - looking forward to smashing that.
Go for it!
Meanwhile, I'm off to find out where my nearest Cardio Kick class is...
How's you, Sam?
Hi Beccy. There was a time when you couldn't get a word in edgeways here
Samster don't go mad!
