Just dropping in to say Hi, work\life\injury is still getting in the way of my running at the moment; really miss it. Scales aren't looking too clever either! I've managed to get up to a 6 mile run but I'm barely out once a week. I've just started doing some other bits and pieces to try and keep the weight under control, I'll let you know how I get on.

over slept this morning so missed the early W/W meeting so i am going to the 12.45 meeting have a bad feeling about this week as according to our scales i put weight on this week then out for a 5 mile run afterwards
Spen Ultra no i haven't got the comitment for one of those i haveing trouble fitting in the training for Brighton at the moment so i don't think there any chance of running any further
JBL great to hear from you sorry to read you can't run as much as you would like but at least your still getting out there once a week keep posting though as this is more of a weight loss thread than a running thread so it dosn't matter to us whether your running or not

well weigh in went better than expected to my great surprise i lost 2.5lbs which means i am now 10st 11.5lbs and under the target weight i was set of 10st 12lbs couldn't believe it when i got under 12 let alone 11
Hi people not been on in years but started running again.
I'm 5 feet 3 and 14 stone 4 but lost 4 pound last week so 14 stone exactly.
Going to try run gym about 3 stone off cheers.... not the real penguin lol

Yes, I'm still around, and I'm still running. Did 16 miles on Sunday in 2:34, so quite happy. That's the furthest I've run since the marathon in September. Haven't weighed for a few days but I'm being good, honest!
Toby - that's a fantastic result weight wise; well done! Some good running going on there too. (No, I'm not inclined to do an ultra either!)

Hi, I'm new to the site and have just started back again after the birth of my fourth Son. I have 2 stones to lose to get back to my optimal running weight of 7st (Don't freak I'm only 4ft 11! )
My first event this year is a 10k mixed route which I'm looking forward to and training starts in earnest tonight. I do have trouble with ITB which is worrying me slightly but I'm sure I'll pick some tips as I go.
It's good to part of a community again. X

well 8 done very wet and wind swept miles for me today time wise the run took 1:16:30 and looking back is about the same as last year mind you the pace went from 9:30m/m to 11:30 in the last mile as i hit a wicked head wind so it may have been quicker
Now I feel guilty I didn't go out last night coz it just looked too scary but two threads in and everyone went out. I'm a naughty runner.
8 miles done in 1:17:32, so a minute slower than you, Toby! Very windy, about 20mph gusts I think, so that'll be where I lost that minute...
Welcome RunniHunni - which 10k are you doing, and when?
RunniHunni - I'm also new to the site and have some weight to lose. I'm 5f 4 and 10.8 stone. I'm really keen to get back to the days of 9.7 and reading through this thread is helping my movitation!
I'm currently running 2- 3 times a week generally 3.5 - 4.5 miles. I didn't a 10k last spring but then got lazy again!
Which 10K are you going?
rest day today then a 5 mile recover run on the treadmill tomorrow

Booktrunk - I wish I was that close to 10 stone I cant seem to do anything right at the moment even though I have been running loads any tips?

Booey - ditto. I've also reached the "plateau" stage where I'm running loads but struggling to shift the pounds. Time to re-evaluate what I'm eating, and when, I think!
5k at lunchtime today - 2.5 into the wind, 2.5 being buffetted from behind (so to speak! )
Did 18 miles last night at about marathon pace 9.26 m/m, a really good run felt strong at the end with the last 2 miles at under 9m/m, so training all working, went for a 5 miler this morning before work and the legs are really aching, I wonder why. 5 runs now done this week so weekend off as kids at nan's and weekend with the wife time to chill
