Hi Everyone!

I went running this afternoon as part of my training plan for RFL, i was running along the dock down by where I live. The elements however were rather extreme, rain and wind! It was great though, felt I was getting @ one with nature! Ended up looking like a drowned rat by the end of it and got some very strange looks as I was doing my food shopping straight after! Week tomorrow is the race, I cant wait!

I love running in the rain :-) On some of my longer runs when marathon training I was desperate for some rain - it's soooo refreshing!

Running in the rain is fantastic...

I love it. I agree 100% about it being refreshing. Its really overcast here and I'm actually hoping it'll start raining in time for my run later.

People walking past all bundled up look at you like you're nuts though.

I love it too,
(can't stand strong winds though)

I went out for a run in February on a Saturday morning. There was fresh, untrodden snow on the ground, and two miles into my run snow started to fall again.

FABULOUS !!

Hoping that the weather gods will provide light rain for the GNR this year.

oh yes - running in falling &/or fresh snow is even more fab than rain.

When it snowed in central London couple of years ago, I went out for a run with a massive grin on....most people (pedestrians and car drivers) clearly thought I was nuts, but I met a couple of other runners looking equally delighted!

Bliddy hate it! Thundering and tipping it down here at the moment - it had better clear up for my 10K tomorrow morning or I'll be in danger of tripping over my lip as I sulk my way round.

Im enjoying running in the rain, very refreshing. My earphones kept falling out though, cos my ears were wet!

I gave up hoping for sunshine and bought a new pair of trainers this afternoon, so I can have one pair on and one pair drying!

Looking forward to winter training for a spring mara so I can run in the rain/sleet again.

I made last min decision to do a 10k yesterday evening, thinking great,it's going to rain. Then as we started the sun came blazing out, making it so much tougher.Love rain on shorter runs, bit too "chaffy" on longer ones.

Me I love it too. Much prefer togo out in the rain, although the bike ride today in it wasn't quite so enjoyable.

I must be the odd one out - I HATE running in the rain and LOVE running on a nice sunny day, lovely blue sky.

little lizard - you are not alone. Give me blue skies any day. I don't mind a light drizzle now and then but do NOT feel motivated to go out when its bucketing down!

If I wake up and see that magic blue sky (don't mind a cold winter blue sky!), then I'm usually raring to go out.

Running in the forest in the rain is the BEST feeling ever - so much oxygen in the air! I much prefer this to going out in the sun...

I did the Bognor 10K last this month in the wind and rain............. IT WAS GREAT.
Despite the conditions, the atmosphere was really good, and I really enjoyed myself.
More rain dances needed!

I do my running up in the woods and when it rains....wow! The noise of the rain in the trees, the rich oxygenated aroma and the solidarity of it all make for excellent running.

I do like the sun though...seeing the blue sky and the green of the fir-trees...

I love running in the rain - all the a**eholes who heckle me are all indoors! And it's so refreshing - although I end up with a very wet dog (and she's usually muddy too). Only downside is our runs get very bogged down in mud and aren't so enjoyable.

I love running in the rain too - the only bummer is I wear glasses all the time and even my running cap cant keep the drops off it after the rains been hammering down for more than 20 mins.

Hate it

PINCH AND A PUNCH - FIRST OF THE MONTH.
mmmm, I like running in the rain too. Not tropical downpours though! It keeps you cool - worst day was last year doing a race for life in June - 33 degrees - hot and horrible. Managed 35 mins as was feeling sooooo sluggish. So, yes, bring on the rain!!

PS - Ultra Gobi - you look like Zebedee with a skin condition!!! (and no spring!)
