working at it slowly

Just done 6 miles at a relatively relaxed 9:34mm. I am continuing to look for little wins by forever listening to my body's reaction to minor changes in pursuit of becoming a chi runner. This week something that we did at Pilates rang a bell and I tried adding it to my morning jog the other day and it seemed to help. Today was the proof and the pudding was good.

All it is is focussing on the spine, lengthening it (Mrs Pilates was saying that your spine can not be long enough) whilst keeping everything else relaxed.

I'm so glad that you all keep reminding me never to have another cat.

That's great news on the snailymum front Snaily - here's hoping she can pick up the positive and run with it - it's so true that a positive outlook aids physical recovery but it must be difficult when stuck in hozzie for such a long time

Today I only have 2 schools to bollock as they are holding up my census by not sending me "stuff"..............then I need to regroup and take stock of where I'm up to in all the other jobs!!

A "fellow" triathlete from my tri club is interviewing for a maths teaching post here today so I'm hoping he gets it

Mind you he's a proper triathlete as in all super fast and slim and stuff.............not like me 

Oooh, I forgot to mention that a friend is setting up a Tri Club here in Clitheroe.

I've wished her luck and shall make sure I avoid her from now on

I think I'll be vibing for you from a distance on Sunday ... ... I've started taking antibiotics since yesterday, but they haven't kicked in yet and I still feel weak and shaky. I've agreed with school to stay off on Monday too (I suppose the doc will add an extra day or two onto the sick note for convalescence, although if I'm not nearly better by then, I'll want to see a GP). It gives me a day to get up to strength if I'm ready and it also means they can let the supply teacher know to come back!

Good news about your mum Snaily, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ hope it continues. And I wouldn't try figs if you have a dicky tum! I'm never too sure what to do with fresh ones either, but I do love fig rolls! (I had a microwave recipe once for figs, which I seem to remember was quite nice)

Nogs, I do love hearing about your customer - it sounds like you live in a soap opera of the Dallas/dynasty type (I'm sure there are more modern ones!) while it's a bit more Shameless round here ...

Mr P and Pippette have gone to get her her first car. The JW weekend when he got his new-ish car (hooray, a real car, that isn't a 'classic'!) they had a look round for her and bought a new-ish Fiesta which she needs now she is travelling quite a bit for work. She is flying to work later this week - going to Tub-land for the day!

I am on the warpath. Stupid work upgraded something which now won't work with my ancient computer. Shouldn't matter, because I am *meant* to be getting a new work laptop (3 months ago) so I don't have to use my own. They've reinstalled the old version of whatever they upgraded, which now works, but have also 'cfg my laptop' (the guy on the IT helpdesk had to go and ask what that meant). 

Now my work email is playing up, and they've advised me to install a new broswer, which I did, but it won't open, because my operating system is too old. 

All I can say is I pity the poor ebay seller who hasn't sent the boots I ordered two weeks ago and has ignored all my messages...

I'm busy trying to sort things for tomorrow  clean the house ready for doggie sitter sort the boy who has a Scout day where they will meet Chief Scout Bear ! sort uniform for Monday...
