I second that, Podds. And frankly I think you are exactly the right person to interview the new receptionist, because you're the one who sees it like it is and will be able to tell whether she can cope! A wimp in that position would be a disaster.
Awwww. big hugs to both XB AND Daffs---a super rave for a super marathon performance!

JayHell, brisk walking is good. It's all I'm doing at the moment too. Anything that involves moving one foot in front of the other counts in here
) Why not tell us a bit more about yourself? Or your views on life. Or the world. Or anything, really, we are interested in absolutely everything!

Went to the AGM of the Dutch association last night. You really want to see democracy in action? That's it! Long and detailed discussion about EVERYTHING---change from 3 years to 2 for committee members, amendment to articles of association, speeches by candidates for chairman..... No wonder the Dutch are famous for their ability to get along, EVERYONE has his say. And is listened to respectfully, I must say. Luckily this was followed by a really good dinner which we all were ready for, and it was a very jolly evening.
But we sat with a couple who had spent years doing up their big farm in NL, and then in 2005, just after they finished, there was a serious fire. One of their sons was killed, another had 70% burns, the lady herself had oxygen deprivation and now speaks with difficulty. They were really nice, and have asked us round for a drink. But when you see people coping with that kind of thing, it really makes you count your blessings.
