It takes all the fun out of it for her.

I've been out cycling, dog walking and Tescoing.  Now to dribble over that bike and make a decision.  I have an imaginary friend called Timothy Tightwad, he sits on my shoulder and asks dumb questions like 'Do you really need it?' and 'Who are you kidding'

Doing a rather hilly 3.3 mile run later. Completed in 35 minutes on Sunday - target times anyone? eventual aim is 27 mins, but not today I don't think.

Timothy is sulking on the naughty step and one brand new, shiny, Italian bike is winging its way to Nog Towers.

Mrs and i were having a little chat today talking about "old" times then it  clicked we met for the first time 50 years ago this month scary but it does not seem like that long ago roll on the next 50

Meldy's right Jack - don't try and race yourself every time, you'll get disappointed and possibly break something! (well, not literally *break* bones, but injure yourelf!)

Just have a nice trot tonight, or try a few speedier bits of a couple of minutes in your normal pace plod, and see how you go

Oh! Well that plainly didn't work!!

Completed 3.3 miles in 34 mins 50 - taking 1 min 15s off my run on Sunday, and at an average of 10:34 mm.

Not too bad, although I clearly didn't warm down properly, as I'm very stiff at the minute in my hamstrings!! Could barely stand up in the shower!

Did you get 2 Nogs? (bikes not wheels, I assumed the wheels came in pairs hence the bi=cycle)

Someone ran into the back of Pippette today - had the car 10 days! She's okay, got a cracked bumper, not sure if more damage underneath, but it looks okay and drivable. She's not hurt either which is all that counts. She said she was okay, then rang the shop she was going to for work and cried. So she rang her dad (who said it was awful, as he didn't know what had happened etc). He went over to see her on the outskirts of Chester and bought her a coffe while she settled herself, and looked over the car. She went off to her job and is okay about it now! Other party have admitted liability and hoping to pay for repairs directly rather than going through insurance. Pippette rang to inform her insurance and said they were very snotty with her - which doesn't help when you're feeling a bit fragile, does it?
