I had a carp 'nights' sleep thanks to the GasBoard digging up the road for best part of the day, no amount of pillow mountains can block that out so I am very tired and very grumpy

Tubs, you have my sympathies ...I lost all my photos when my computer crashed, I now have iCloud so hopefully everything is backed up, I also use FB to back a lot of stuff on to

I am back at work already and in need of coffee, its a vile old night out there thats for sure

I reckon I could do a parkrun after being severely sozzled the night before - but the point is, I wouldn't actually bother to get out of bed to do it

I have to recable my 'good' bike today.  I think cable corrosion is why the brakes seized. I'll strip them down later and find out.

I'd love to Amanda, but I'm toddling off to my first parkrun since, er, goodness knows when! Poor old Heart Bypass Man will be wondering what happened to me Gorgeous morning for it. Going to wear my Chester t shirt Think today will be toddling round the back with HBM, but mine and sister's next challenge is to get under 30 mins for 5k (might take a while - especially as she still has a bandaged foot!)

Have not met eldest son yet but will see him today. When he arrived in Edinburgh He met up with Scott and as he was staying at his place last night as brothers do they went out for a pint.
I have managed to shed 7lbs so far tthe last couple of months but need to get running again to help burn off the calories as I do like my food.

Looks like time to play taxi man and take Mrs to the shops (Oh Joy )

Parkrun runned Lovely to be back and a gorgeous morning. Ran with HBM, although we weren't quite at the back today. Bumped into an old friend from PhD days who I'venot seen in years - it was her first and she *was* at the back but looked like she was having a grand time Tea and second breakfast now I think

Well done to the parkrun runners. Twin1 and I had a jolly good time of cheering the Preston lot three times as they lapped the luscious autumnal park.

My hozzie appointment lasted about 2 hours yesterday - some people wait longer than that just to see one specialist! They all agreed that the next stage is to refer me to Brizzle with a view to having one of these things fitted http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinal_cord_stimulator  I would actually prefer to go to Southampton or even London as I cannot drive myself to Brizzle and it is not a straightforward train journey. However, despite everything we hear about 'patient choice', the PCT will only fund referrals to Brizzle (cos they are cheaper) . I am expecting it to be a long process before I actually get the stim (if I am judged suitable) but at least it is a glimmer of light on the horizon.

Alfie is being a proper little monster this morning - I think I will have to change his name to 'Daemos'! I suspect that he is bored, I will give him some 'Out There' time a bit later on.

Nothing else planned for the weekend, so far. MS is playing bowls this arvo, we will see what we can think of for tomorow.

Scott and Tony ended up in Edinburgh last night until the early hours of this morning so glad I did not go over with them (I'd have put a damper on their night ).Ended up in a Taxi home which would cost a fortune( he won't tell me ). Anyway a good night had by them both, Tony off to sort a few things out with his ex and Scott came over to ours so he could go and run the beer off up the hills.He has entered London and has his number so looking at accommodation for that weekend for him and his mum.
We are all off out for a friends birthday party meal tonight so there will be a few of us together and hope to have a good night with Tony.

Leg easing off so still may be in with a chance for a jog next week .

Hello again,

Westie, there comes a time when us old uns can't match the nippers on a night out.

Last time I went out with jnr and his mates we ended up in a Spearmint Wino's followed by a kebab shop at 5 in the morning.  I recovered after a day or two but my wallet suffered a lot of collateral damage.

HL is now on GD duty for a couple of hours.

 I've fettled the bike and replaced the corroded cable.  GD has extra show rehearsals then exam coaching until 5.30 so i still don't know if I'm free for the Waisters Tour de Chilterns tomorrow.

The bikes still needs a clean though so I'm off to do that before I go back to the dance studios.

Hi, been running for about 3 years but can't seem to get my speed up. Trying to lose weight but even that has 'sputtered'. Any ideas?
