Yes please Westie

Morning All

Poor old Mr P and the boys went out into a "wintry shower" this morning for their walk - the NV refused to get off the settee as he could hear the sleet battering the windows and had to be pulled off and the DG got to the door and refused to move and had to be physically lifted out - Sharley just looked sad and depressed as usual

Mr P had an early phone call today for an MRI cancellation so he is going in later today to get it done - I told them he'd take any cancellation after the 11th and they phoned at 0820 on the 11th!!  Still - moves things forward a fortnight or so

morning all

brrrrr chilly here too and I chickened out of plodding - might go later

good luck with the teef Noggs, good luck with the mother DL

I have purchased precisely nothing for Christmas - not panicking yet!

11/12/2012 at 10:44

morning

So glad I'm not the only one who is ill prepared for Christmas.

((noggs toof and bank balance)))

(((sluggy))) that was clearly a carp arrangement - I would have driven you door to door - stoopid people.

oh M...eldy, what a pain in the arris. Their faces must have been really scared when you arrived and announced that you are M...eldy...

DL, LOL at your doublebluff unreliable friends

Snigger at the boys, Podds but who can blame them. Did Mr P promise them extra food if they refused to go out in the cold ? No 2 'walked Cush this morning - all of 15 minutes but her arthuritis is playing up - he said she was cold.......more like he was

Seems half my team at work are ill with the same bug too - hoorah - well, I dont mean that unkindly but I dont feel nearly as guilty now.

11/12/2012 at 12:40

Afternoon,

LOL @ the houndies. I really can't blame them for wanting to stay inside. Alfie was out for quite a while - but it is prolly quite a bit warmer here.

(((Noggy))), which are you dreading most - your fave customer or the root canal work?!

Glad that you had a good time, Spence. Anorexia is a complex illness and the associated behaviour doesn't always make sense.

~+~+~+warming vibes for XB~+~+~+

Pah to unreliably unreliable friends DL!

Thankfully, we got our pressies sorted early as we decorated plant pots and planted up some bulbs, so jus had to distribute them a little sooner than expected . Mind you, what isn't done is just tough, it's not as if we have any little kids to disappoint (expect for my great nephew, who has his pressie wrapped and delivered).

I am playing host to the snotmonster today although I am not feeling to bad. Fingers crossed that this clears up quickly.

(((WIN)))

WAIST well xxx

afternoon

its a bit chilly in my office too, my left hand is warm but my right hand is freezing.  Is that a sign?

Yums I think you should ask for "Enter name of super sexy woman" in your xmas stocking (I would have Kimberly Walsh I have a bit of a crush on her!)

brrrrrrr Westie, you win the prize for most freezin place in the WAISTer Lounge.

Right Meldy, I will make a note not to use the Click and Collect!  I regularly online shop, its excellent, even text you the time they will be showing up!  I dont buy fresh stuff online, it can be a bit "over ripe"!!!

awwww some poorly waisters around here ((((  )))))

LOL DL at your unreliable but now reliable friends!

Great news - mums bungalow has been allocated, but she wont be in by christmas.  The previous family have yet to empty the house so we have to wait 2 weeks.  But at least she's sorted.  She is being moved to a "home" to free up the hospital bed, that should be entertaining for her!  At least she'll be more independant and can have a bit of a xmas sing-song with the oldies

11/12/2012 at 14:28

Brrrrr it;'s blinkin freezing..... I need my Scout home to chop me some kindling!!

Good news on SnailyMum  Half the battle is knowing that the process is at least happening as it gives you something to look forward to

Looks like a lovely sunny day out there now but I bet it's cold - it was freezing when the cookery class managed to set the fire alarms off this morning and we all had to troop outside!

Right - off to training now and then home to pick up the DG and then we're off to see Vtgv

 He's clever my Mr Spence

Good work Mr S.

We're not posh enough down here in Oxfordshire for a log burner, if ever they develop a used tyre burner I'll be at the hhead of the queue.

I have two lots of good news and one lot of bad news regarding the toof.

It didn't cost me £300 and he didn't root fill my tooth (he couldn't find all three canals.

the bad news?  Looks like I'll need it taken out - either that or £750 on a specialist with no guarantee of any more progress. It's a back tooth so i prolly won't miss it too much.

The dentist is off to Champoluc the week before me, so we swapped a few ski buddy type tales.

11/12/2012 at 19:52

very nice, Spence and I guess Santa will find it easier to use now

((Noggs)))) perhaps not such a bad thing to just have it out if you're not going to miss it

Hope DG  gets a good report from the handsome vet

And fab news that Snaily mum has a home almost   The light at what  has been a very long tunnel indeed

(((nogs hurty tooth))) and (~{ for DLs unreliable friends~})

Did I say I went sort of Christmas shopping last week looking for a dress I'd seen in Liverpool in all the wrong sizes? Anyway they didn't have it at all in Chester so I got it online. Just arrived! It's lovely, except I can't fasten it up without breaking all my ribs! Hmmm ...

My effing stupid oven is ruining my cake

11/12/2012 at 20:29

aaaaaaaaand breathe

150 for 90 mins turned into 90 mins and not even changed colour, extra 30 mins and starting to burn on top and not cooked underneath, turn up to 200 and switch the top heat off
The oven is a cheap piece of sh1t put in by the landlady, the top hobs get hot when the oven is on and I am sure thats not right!!

Any road, one Dundee cake done, one Chestnut & Mushroom casserole done, 2 left to go later this week
I picked a (dairy free) cake that I can do and freeze, I didnt actually think about whether I had freezer space!!  I think I shall have to make that Friday as well!!

11/12/2012 at 20:34

Blame the oven!

You can lay a piece of foil or greaseproof paper loosely over the top if it browns too quickly.
