for joggers, slow runners, run/walkers and newbies
BTW, the bloke in the photo is our friend who with his wife kindly drove for an hour to go and see her. A friend in need for sure!!
morning all, C1 looking good Chuggy you can sleep in today .
We have more snow again so looks like a day in again
C'mon Daffs; you've got a sister to beat. I'm just getting ready for my second run of the day.
That's one hour of turbo tempoing and 900 calories burned.
New MTB or some new kit for road riding. It's a dilemma.
Meldy...we've been spammed again.
Well done, Noggs. That is one of life's tough questions.
(((Lurgified WAISTers))) Kindly keep your germblies to youselves.
Chuggy, it must have been a relief for you to see that C1 is still able to smile. I bet that 'Fetchie Woof' has been much-loved companion and will have given C1 a little taste of home no matter how far away she is.
(((Tubs))) it must be horrible to get your hopes up each time and then have them dashed again . You always get on with your life regardless but you surely are overdue for something that will help.
Great going from the WAISTer boys, it looks as if you are doing my share too.
Mind you,I was out at 7.00 in order to get to aquagym. Just the single session today (30 minutes) as I did the shopping on the way home. It is still cold here (around 0 degrees C) and grey, but dry and the forecast is for temperatures just into double figures over the weekend . We had thought that SB and gf might come down this weekend, but gf has to work, so the visit has ben pushed back for another week. However, we are meeting up with some old friends tomorrow. I was bridesmaid at their wedding 30 years ago but we haven't seen them for about 20 years, so we have a lot of catching up to do!
WAIST well xxxx
Nothing like a cute axis Tubs and good afternoon all ... slightly less manic start to the dayI have swum and am now starvingGlad to hear that C1 is improving Chuggs, how lovely to have friends on hand!! and talking of friends in hospital et.c, poor old Melifera is still in Lanza following her accident after Christmas, hoping she will be allowed to fly soon
eww Chuggs poor C1 I would have fainted!! and bless how lovely that Fetchy Woof went too, mind you he doesn't look too comfy, when you next speak can you make sure he's tucked up in bed please!!
It is freezing here! Hope Tesco man gets here before the snow, else I shall have to down grade tomorrow's girlie meeting down from dinner to nibbles!!
It was certainly a little chilly earlier Spence but its going to be shorts weather by Sunday
Yuck, cold and snow, cold and rain---sounds COLD everywhere
Tubs, you obviously have some complicated problems, but surely they ought to be able to find some way to correct for them? And AT LEAST if the specs don't work, you shouldn't have to pay for them!!!! Like Sluggie said, it must be a real emotional rollercoaster, getting your hopes up each time... and surely it shouldn't be quite so hit and miss as this??
Sluggie, mega respect for getting into cold water at 7 am----brrrr!!!!! How disappointing that SB and gf couldn't come, seems as if you have been trying to get together with them for weeks now, but of course work has to come first. And a nice evening with 20 years worth of interesting info to exchange should be good fun
Oh Melds, Melifera STILL in hospital? I didn't realise she was as badly hurt as that! Really hope she can get home soon, it must be awfully lonely for her!
XB, TWO runs in before 9 am??? (boggles) That's bliddy brilliant!
Rossie and I had a nice 4 mile tramp, first time we've had a decent outing in a week. Friends are taking us out for dinner tonight--yum! Eating out here is great---we had lunch out yesterday and Mr C had the menu du jour: big bowl of fresh veg soup and bread, cole slaw with charcuterie (4 types of salami/ham), steak with chips and 'crumble d'epinard' (spinach with a crisp crumb topping), profiterole, 1/4 litre of wine and coffee. For 12 Euros. Ten quid. Fab.
Blimey Chuggs if you keep giving us the run down on these daily menus you will have a whole bus full of WAISTers on your doorstep
I didn't do my second run. I got involved in sorting out something and by the time I'd finished it was snowing.
I should be good to go on Sunday.
busy day here and I feel like crap
hair now back to a normal colour, 3hrs in the hairdressers, and now purse is much lighter
fireplace has been fitted, looks lovely, but.....its in the centre of the room, but it looks a bit "odd" like it needs to move slightly, but then it wont be in the centre. We just keep looking at it from different angles!
we had a burst and water was running along the floor in the lounge]
Car has been in for its MOT, luckily its not cost us a fortune
Wondering what is an acceptable time to go to bed
XB .. you got a race on Sunday?Spence, get off road, job done.Snaily, any time after breakfastChuggs, yes - she has a pneumothorax and they want to be sure she is clear of that before flying and also she is at the beck and call of insurance companies and spanish Drs so a bit testing at the best of times
No. Just need to ramp up the miles for spring maras.
Got an excuse today, my sons back on leave (RAF) so we have had a 'little' to drink but its all healthy low fat diet beer, wine JD so all is well!
I did get 11k in before he got back tho ...
Trying to get him out Sunday morning for a forest run, but dont think he is too keen ...
So miss all our training runs to get him in, in the forst place
