DL, that is NOT a teddy! That is Fetchy Woof, the doggie I bought for her at our church fair when she was 2 years old. He's had a hard life, been all over the world, but he's a faithful companion 

Nogs, with all this turbo the roads won't know what's hit them once that snow disappears  I'm cross about the coffee, tho, I was sms'ing half the night and am seriously in need of caffeine. Lets see what I can find here....

BTW, the bloke in the photo is our friend who with his wife kindly drove for an hour to go and see her. A friend in need for sure!!

Chuggy, it must have been a relief for you to see that C1 is still able to smile. I bet that 'Fetchie Woof' has been  much-loved companion and will have given C1 a little taste of home no matter how far away she is.

(((Tubs))) it must be horrible to get your hopes up each time and then have them dashed again . You always get on with your life regardless but you surely are overdue for something that will help.

Mind you,I was out at 7.00 in order to get to aquagym. Just the single session today (30 minutes) as I did the shopping on the way home. It is still cold here (around 0 degrees C) and grey, but dry and the forecast is for temperatures just into double figures over the weekend . We had thought that SB and gf might come down this weekend, but gf has to work, so the visit has ben pushed back for another week. However, we are meeting up with some old friends tomorrow. I was bridesmaid at their wedding 30 years ago but we haven't seen them for about 20 years, so we have a lot of catching up to do!

It is freezing here! Hope Tesco man gets here before the snow, else I shall have to down grade tomorrow's girlie meeting down from dinner to nibbles!!

Tubs, you obviously have some complicated problems, but surely they ought to be able to find some way to correct for them? And AT LEAST if the specs don't work, you shouldn't have to pay for them!!!! Like Sluggie said, it must be a real emotional rollercoaster, getting your hopes up each time... and surely it shouldn't be quite so hit and miss as this??

Sluggie, mega respect for getting into cold water at 7 am----brrrr!!!!! How disappointing that SB and gf couldn't come, seems as if you have been trying to get together with them for weeks now, but of course work has to come first. And a nice evening with 20 years worth of interesting info to exchange should be good fun 

Oh Melds, Melifera STILL in hospital? I didn't realise she was as badly hurt as that! Really hope she can get home soon, it must be awfully lonely for her!

XB, TWO runs in before 9 am??? (boggles) That's bliddy brilliant! 

Rossie and I had a nice 4 mile tramp, first time we've had a decent outing in a week.  Friends are taking us out for dinner tonight--yum! Eating out here is great---we had lunch out yesterday and Mr C had the menu du jour: big bowl of fresh veg soup and bread, cole slaw with charcuterie (4 types of salami/ham), steak with chips and 'crumble d'epinard' (spinach with a crisp crumb topping), profiterole, 1/4 litre of wine and coffee. For 12 Euros. Ten quid. Fab. 

Blimey Chuggs if you keep giving us the run down on these daily menus you will have a whole bus full of WAISTers on your doorstep 

I didn't do my second run. I got involved in sorting out something and by the time I'd finished it was snowing.
