Afternoon All

I have duathloned and eaten a couple of wondrous choc cookies and then quick rush home, drop of bikes, shower, pick up dogs and back out for a 1 1/2 hour 7-hound walk

It is not the warmest out there but I feel I have made the most of the day - now I fancy my bed!!

Nice to hear you finally caught up with SB and gf Sluggy - I know it's been difficult one way or another but something nice for this time of the year at least

Roni & I did a 9k forest today, well done her for her longest non stop (almost) run to date Nice recovery run for me too

Spence: I keep getting repeating visions of you gigling away at the thought of your 9:40 comment?   and Good job on the weight loss, Roni is working hard at that too.

I lay awake in bed this morning waiting for the alarm to go off, I'd forgotten to switch it on . I've missed my spin class, but I suppose it won't do any harm. I had a hard long run yesterday. For some reason, it just wasn't happening for me, so much so that I was seriously debating abandoning running altogether at some stage .

It was very quiet in here yesterday evening!

Date went well - well, I wittered a fair bit and date isn't conventionally attractive but such a lovely person - A seriously studying Buddhist unlike me but we have a similar take on life and, get this, she's an Osteopath and sports massage therapist - might come in handy one day!  Anyway, she's not local and we both have our own lives but initial plan suggests meeting up in a couple of weeks

Dragon lady take a rest - as we get older (sadly!) we really have to learn how to train smart and not just SMART - quality over quantity; plenty of rest days (after all muscle adaptation takes place when resting not training) and listening to our bodies..........

...........but then you know all that and were just having a glum moment (quite understandable when running ) - you are our inspiration and you won't give in to a moment of weakness

Sounds like a nice run Cheesy and good for Roni getting longest distance to date under the belt

Date sounds about as good as it gets Yums and there's no need to rush anything after all...............slowly slowly catchee monkee or something like that!!

Well it's Monday and we're all back at work........what joy!!

A day of faffing and fettling for me.  I have some hedging and tree work to do - I'll get on with that tomorrow.

It's still snowing in Austria Just over two weeks to wait

Still wine free - we had a lovely lunch yesterday but I opted to drive so was on the water.

i just need to stop eating and lose 10k more.  

Lovely and sunny here too so I guess a bike ride would be a good thing.

And Yums, I must say that date sounds like good news: an interesting person who already has a life, and isn't grabbing you to keep afloat! Sounds promising  And as you said, a sports massage therapist is always a good person to know! 

I've mainly been lurking over the weekend. It's birthday time: C2 was on Saturday, C3 is today, but parties will be postponed til everyone is home. I've actually been sat here in running clothes for an hour, but C1 in Melbourne wants to have a msg conversation and I wanted to hear what the doctor and back specialist said (neither really knows why her back hurts so much, but say it's good she has a hozzie appointment on Wed!). She's lonely and bored, I think, so if she wants to chat, I'm deffo here to chat to! Still may get out for a short troddle, we'll see..

Podds, you keep going like that, you're going to rival Noggs as our resident philosopher  But how very right you are. As you said, the Dragon knows it all, but sometimes it's relaxing to hear it from someone else. Hope you have fewer, um, interesting events at work this week than last!!! 

Nogs, two more weeks and back to snow?? What a great way to pass the winter!  Glad that the difficult family members seem to have crawled back into their holes for now. You and HL must know that you are, very seriously, making all the difference to your GD. 

What is this sun you all speak of? It's grey, raining and with a bitter wind here. BUT I thought of XB and his epic run at the weekend and shoved myself out the door. Only 4.5 km and very slow, but after 3 weeks of being mainly sat (inside with snow outside, in the car etc) it was good to be out. Now gotta see if I can find anything not to expensive but cheerful that I can get delivered locally to C1...

Was late to work this morning, slept badly, the slept well through the alarms  Oh well, at least I can make it up later, may skip my run tonight and try and catch up on sleeps 

XB, I thinks you earned and extra rest day for your 16 miler!

 Westie: Love it! now why on earth would people want to run on roads when there are places like that to be had! Sort of thing that makes me want to move 

That would make a nice XCountry bike route too.
