Afternoon all,

I didn't get up early this morning so had to do my LSR at lunchtime. That was after I'd cooked breakfast, only egg and bacon, and done two hours of ironing! My schedule was calling for 6 and I managed 6.83 at an average pace of 10.03 mpm, it was supposed to be a LSR but I think I'm going too fast!

After I'd got back from my run I had a shower and then went on a nice long walk with Mrs GFB, probably around 5 to 6 miles to our local country park, where they do nice coffee and flapjacks, and back.

Got to go shortly and cook tea, pork and potato bake tonight. No rest etc

Great training from XB, Pippi, Dragon and Gary. Great ironing from Gary and MS .

It sounds as if the whole world and his dog will be at Statty. Are your rooms cancelable? It looks as if I need to get on and book but I need to be able to cancel, just in case.

It has been a lovely day here too. Mild and sunny, beautiful blue sky with both the sun and moon clearly visible. Still chilly in the wind though. We went for a gentle stroll in a local country park, MS's ankle means that his walking is just as restricted as mine. Nearly time to get dinner started.

I've booked a room that I can cancel up to 1PM the previous day Sluggie, it costs only a few pounds more than the non cancel deal if you do it now.You don't pay until you get there on that deal.  That's the Waterways Premier Inn.

I'm following the RW Smartcoach skedoool that has me doing 3 x 20 milers

The positive thing about it is that next week, my LSR is just 7 miles , I love recovery weeks.

Havent checked race details, I assumed that would be the Sunday!

17/02/2013 at 18:44

Blimey Dragon, I'm doing a Hal Higdon novice plan and I've only got 1 20 miler which is 3 weeks before my marathon. There are long runs of 15, 17, 18 and 19 miles as well but only the 1 20 miler.

I didnt do anything vaguely heart raising today but I have cleaned the kitchen, cleaned 2 bikes and oiled them, mended some punctures for spares and am now looking out for Noggs on Ski Sunday

Dragon lady well done on that run ... you are flying nice and quick under that radar lady
XB .. good idea to be dropped off a million miles away, I have often thought that with the bike and using the train!

Spence try smartcoach

You can customise it just to you, your race date, your weekly mileage and your pace.

I'll probably come both nights and probably on my own, not sure mr daffs could handle a weekend with you lot

Didn't quite get round to running today which means that my training for next week's 10k will have consisted of, er, one run of about 2.5 miles....

Anyone want to guess who's going to be last??

Suspect if i enter a race in november it'll be the 5k - i'll probably finish about the same time as the rest of you doing the half...
