Cheesy, you're preaching to the converted !

I do a 4min/30sec for my LSR sometimes a 5/1 !
My knees can't cope with running the whole way!!

I vary from r1w1 ro r9w1 depending on what I am trying to achieve. Sometimes I do r1w1 then r2w1, r3w1 and so on just to keep the mind occupied.

There's no way I could run a marathon without regular walk breaks.

What made it good for me was reading about it, hearing it worked for them  and then finding out for myself that it really did! Ive always tried to do my longer runs continuously at a pace that I can do that.

I know its fairly well known, but to be honest, I have read, heard and been told sooooooo many things since re starting running, many of which left me not only injured but pretty demotivated and p*****d off, it was great to find/do something that really DID work for a change, that I wanted to share with anyone who was interested

Ooooh my " I wanted to share with anyone who was interested" comment wasnt meant critically was only meant as a 'it worked for me, it may work for others'

Cheesey ... really, we do understand!!

I r3/w1 short distances, the app I downloaded trains me to run the whole distance, but 1 - I dont think I ever will and 2 - it'll hurt and thats not what running is about for me

At the moment i'm with Daffs, mainly walk with a few plodds

I started watching the prison programme, how do you rehabilitate people into society who dont want to change???  I cant see any of them holding down a job for min wage.

Hello everyone Great to meet you all, may I join the chat?

Happy to have found the slow forum

I don't seem to get any faster and I do try!!

I did my first half marathon yesterday - woooo!! Very slowly 2h:51! But when I first started to try and get fit (2 years ago) I started on the rowing machine because it meant I could sit down!!!

It was after weeks of rowing boredom that finally got me to attempt the treadmill where, the first time, I achieved 1 minute walking!! And things progressed from that point!
