for joggers, slow runners, run/walkers and newbies
Yes Spence remember what can happen over 9 months
Did my 8.2 mile today with run / walk for final 2.8 so can now hibernate for a few weeks till the sun comes out
Snaily, the day will come when you're popping out a 14 miler and we'll all be saying "there you go, we said you could do it!"
Snaily, not that much over a year ago, I couldnt do 1.4 miles ... dont be nervous! its just a bit further down the line
It worries me when people say casually oh I did 20 or 24 miles or more, I really only just get to the end at the moment, and cant see myself saying the same let alone doing the same for quite a long time! I'l get there eventually tho I hope
Nice run Westie
I once said I'd never do a marathon....
What will Chester this year be?....6th I think!!
lol you lot, I've been looking at new shoz, now im going to bed
Just back from club presentation evening and not as painful as I was anticipating it to be - even if I did miss an evening in in my PJs watching the new episode of NCIS
Re the LSR (long slow run) - the wisest thing any experienced runner / coach said to me decades ago when starting out is that you should finish your LSR feeling you could do another couple of miles - if you don't you've probably done it too fast
And on that wise note I'm off to bed - oh how I wish for a lie in!
The "snow" has been coming down on and off since lunchtime but it's that sort of almost icy snow so it isn't settling - just travelling horizontally in the lovely easterly.........driving was like being in a star trek film when all the stars turn into streaks as they go to warp speed
morning is it November yet
No will review my "condition " end October to see that..........................
1) I am still breathing2) I am still moving3) I can bend down and put my shoes on4) I can see to tie my laces5) I can do 5k faster than Spence can do a half etc etc.
I hope you went Amandax
ahh Daffs, you'll be fiiiiiiiiine
mmmm Westie !! You'll keep
Only 3 miles to do today !!
Gotta make the most of it 14 next!!
3 miles done, it's flippin' freezing out there!!
