Great photo Phippi

Options Fair done!

Spoken to J it wasn't a heart attack...phew!
The pain went after a dose of morphine, he has to go back for tests. I predict he'll be told to lose weight!!

Phippi??? I'm not running a marathon (classical allusion there ...)

Great swim Meldy! and part time physion too! (but reassuring perhaps to know it was as youthought and you are doing hte right thing)

Yes, everyone took part (except a couple of TAs - photos are on FB) and nearly all the children - there's always a few who turn up without a costume - the little ones we can supply with dressing up clothes. The older ones were told it was not a non-uniform day - fancy dress, or uniform! They get a bit too cool for it by Y6.

Good news for J.

Hi Ho Hi Ho .. tis off to work I go

Are you dressed up too then?

Hope tonight is a quiet one for you meldy.

Chuggy, I feel for any youngsters trying to get into work, we can advertise a post and we get 70 applicants in a day, its difficult to pick from such a vast number and anyone with no experience doesnt get a chance.  I'm working on a scheme to recruit people with no experience and put them through training, we get funding from the job centre to do it, but also its the right thing to do, we're missing out on good people who just dont get a look in.

My sis has just landed her first job, she rang me all excited at "£5.50 an hr"

I've forgotten everything else so am going to bed, its been "one of those days"

Golly, well done Podds!

08/03/2013 at 07:35

Nice one Podds.

I'm off to run a circuit of Preston. The plan says 14 miles so I'll run 14 miles at target pace then jog/walk 7 miles back to the car. I'm sure that the weather could be more clement but hey-ho, you've got to be prepared for anything on race day.

Goodly morning one and all

Don't you always wear something like that for work Pippi? We were supposed to have book club round ours last night. Ironic as it's a wimmin's book club as everyone cancelled, it being world book day the day before international women's day.

Podds - be very careful. It's this sort of heady excitement that leads to Las Vegas, and we all know what happens there.

Preston XB? You do live the high life.

I am actually at home. I am rather exhaustificated.

Happy international women's day - off to find myself an international woman

I see the fog has affected everyone's ability to find the lounge today
08/03/2013 at 12:27

Morning WAISTers  well, I assume I am in the right place, all a bit foggy here!

Nothing more than the usual drull day today, I am on rest week, so no chasing squirrels for me!  will start again with a recovery run sunday with Roni (who is still scared stiff of joining us) then back to normal next week.

08/03/2013 at 12:31

Well, I finally managed to navigate my way into the lounge, despite the fog!

Spence, great news about J's hubby. This might be just the wake-up call he needs to take himself in hand and look after his health a bit more.

Snaily, I remember that you ran a similar scheme at your previous hozzie. it is a great initiative and must be very rewarding. Well done to your sis on landing her first job .

Well FGOd and swimbled Meldy. I am glad that the fizzy session wnet well.

Great costume Pippi! I am afraid that I used to hate book day. I am not very imaginative so found it a real problem. if I had an idea for a costume then we didn't have the book and vice-versa. Always made worse by SB informing me the evening before the event...

Yummity, have you thought about joining the Sally Army? I have heard that they save fallen women, so perhaps they have saved one for you!

I have aquagymmed (just one sesh on Fridays) and Tescoed (which is why just one sesh in the pool). Thank dog that Alfie is a bit calmer today. He spent all day yesterday complaining that he was bored - I put him to bed just before 10pm as I was just a lettle fed up of it!

We are orf out for a charity quiz this evening. MS and I, 2 of MS's sister and my bff with her hubby. It should be a good evening, I am looking forward to it.

(((WAISTers all)))

WAIST well xxx

*rubs up against podds*

Jeez its so bloody warm today, I'm in a t-shirt, tomorrow it'll be back to double layers according to Mrs-Weather-Woman-of-Doom

Final push on the DIY this weekend, then we start getting stuff delivered and fitted so will all be coming together nicely.  Hopefully get a training plod in this weekend too.

*off to put on Lotto*

That was a long way. I forgot my Garmin so a bit short of stats. I reckon I did 21.5 miles in 3:46 and change.

Foul here and my text has gone all tiny - you know the size of someone's name when you quote them? Seems to be ok when I submit but seeing to write is taxing!!!

A carp day all round here too ( with tiny print!)

I have the double whammy of painful ribs and a cold making me sneeze and cough in a very ouchy way.

I have a big towel to wrap around my chest when I sneeze/cough as it's less painful.

I bashed the ribs skiing but finished them off yesterday changing the the wheels on the car.  I can feel them grating when I sneeze.

Podds, I don't post piccies as I'm a bit of a thicko with tecky stuff.  We don't take many piccies as we are regulars in Soll However, I have worked out how to down load some from our phones, I just need to get them on here,

It's a work in progress.
