This is me in costume. I can't post the photo here as there's a technical hitch at RW.

I did take it off before my check up ... but I'm healthy with slightly raised cholesterol that they aren't bothered about. I did think I'd be told I could do with losing a few pounds (I think I could) but she thought it was fine too.

I did manage to get out on the FGO this morning, I turned up and it was raining and very nearly bailed out but met two girlies there who persuaded me to go for a quick turn round the block and we didnt really get that wet at all!

Winter is set to return next week .. oh the joy!

I did my Ironman swim in 1.06.54 so just scraped a sub 1.07 so more than happy with that one, first attempt at the distance for this year

NIghts tonight so will struggle to stay awake no doubt

Had physio today, luckily my diagnosis was right so I managed to get a discount from him for being a smart arse!   Retrocalcaneal bursitis, carry on doing what i'm doing, get a better gel heel cup, ice massage, stretch and strengthen ... et.c et.c !

Yes, everyone took part (except a couple of TAs - photos are on FB) and nearly all the children - there's always a few who turn up without a costume - the little ones we can supply with dressing up clothes. The older ones were told it was not a non-uniform day - fancy dress, or uniform! They get a bit too cool for it by Y6.

Chuggy, I feel for any youngsters trying to get into work, we can advertise a post and we get 70 applicants in a day, its difficult to pick from such a vast number and anyone with no experience doesnt get a chance.  I'm working on a scheme to recruit people with no experience and put them through training, we get funding from the job centre to do it, but also its the right thing to do, we're missing out on good people who just dont get a look in.

My sis has just landed her first job, she rang me all excited at "£5.50 an hr" 

I've forgotten everything else so am going to bed, its been "one of those days"

I was just having a quick research on ice massage which physio reccommended I do, I had actuallty underestimated its value ... shall be doing a lot more of that then!

I'm off to run a circuit of Preston. The plan says 14 miles so I'll run 14 miles at target pace then jog/walk 7 miles back to the car. I'm sure that the weather could be more clement but hey-ho, you've got to be prepared for anything on race day.

Great costume Pippi! I am afraid that I used to hate book day. I am not very imaginative so found it a real problem. if I had an idea for a costume then we didn't have the book and vice-versa. Always made worse by SB informing me the evening before the event...

I have aquagymmed (just one sesh on Fridays) and Tescoed (which is why just one sesh in the pool). Thank dog that Alfie is a bit calmer today. He spent all day yesterday complaining that he was bored - I put him to bed just before 10pm as I was just a lettle fed up of it!

We are orf out for a charity quiz this evening. MS and I, 2 of MS's sister and my bff with her hubby. It should be a good evening, I am looking forward to it.

Final push on the DIY this weekend, then we start getting stuff delivered and fitted so will all be coming together nicely.  Hopefully get a training plod in this weekend too.
