I am exhausted. Spent hours this afternoon helping to rescue sheep. Ended up separated from everyone else and half carried half dragged two that could no longer walk down several fields. Couldn't get them any further and ended up leaving them in someone's stable! Went back and the sheep left that couldn't walk we dragged down on tarpaulins or carried. Many dead and crows had been at the weaker ones. Rescued about 50 but a lot were pretty far gone.

Our glen isn't too bad, we're further North, no problems with electricity. There were pylons down and wires hanging near the sheep we were rescuing.

(((( waisters ))))

On a happier note I've just had an email back from Raceways and they're happy for me to walk the 5 k :0) Anyone fancy walking with me? I'm bypassing the energy bars and planning on taking coffee and cake :0)

Oh Tubbs that's too sad poor sheep.

But HURRAH! At you being able to walk the 5k

and no Snaily you're NOT allowed to join the walking team!!

Don't even think about it!

It ain't happening!

Coffee and cake Snaily :0) No running required :0)

The training sounds much better than the stupid half.  Training to eat cake is something I could enjoy

25/03/2013 at 21:37

and on that note I'm having an early night, so I can get work early, so I can finish early and go for a run

.... Cake is sounding more appealing !!

Tubs this wewather can be more devastating than some realise, thank goodness for people like yourself who really can make a difference ... those poor sheepsies, and poor lambs being born to this weather!!

Aww Tubbs - such a shame to have such a sad story to accompany a beautiful photo - good on you for helping out though

Hmmm - walking the 5K, eating cake and drinking coffee........I might be convinced as I have no intention of doing that other horrible form of locomotion.........

Talking of which I skived running club this evening - oh the shame of it - as I had brought work home (or at least that's my excuse) and just realised I haven't done it and really do need to do at least some before tomorrow morning so I'm off to bed with a box file

Sweet dreams all

sunny here also

no snow

Morning each,

No sun and no snow here.  I'm trying to decide if I should do some paid work today.  I can't do much outside but maybe a little greenhouse work could be achieved.

Or, a day of cake and coffee?  It's a tricky one.

Sue, would you please allow us an appropriate period of mourning before mentioning the rugby again, say, 10 years or so.

In return I promise not to mention Max Boyce.  Deal?

Coffee - the good stuff - is ready.
