I can do 8 dining chairs, 6 kitchen chairs, 3 office chairs and 2 carden chairs and a 6 seater picnic bench.

Good luck to Spencelette.

I'm buzzing and I'll tell you why. 10 miles 1:29:39 that's 8:57 mins/mile. Miles 6,7 and 8 were done in 8:09, 8:08 and 8:12.

The training is coming together nicely.

Go Spencelette.

No exams scheduld for GD, she's rehearsing for summer shows and comps.

One of GD's friends at the school is an exceptional ballet dancer.  Not sure if her genes help. Dad is Indian, mum is British. Yas is very pretty and so light framed, a complete natural.  She was offered a place at HL's old school BUT turned it down as she didn't want to move away from her friends

GD is not a gifted ballerina but loves singing and dancing.

Morning all, pleased to report Tony had a better night and his eye is not giving him as much niggle due we think to the change in medication and they have put a large plain contact lens in for protection.Have booked a travel lodge near the hospital for Sunday night to save the hassle of early Edinburgh commute traffic. (hospital about 40 miles away ).

Scott and Mrs are now in London they tried the over night sleeper service on the train and both managed a good nights sleep.Scott is chilled about his run as he has no expectations so just going to enjoy the day.He was chuffed last year lining up with the top Kenya + other runners. He joked that he ran with them for the first 50 meters before they left behind to do his own run.He is number 672 and if he can last the distance with his leg and lack of training standing up to the event I recon he may get in around 2:45. Still trying to find out if I can track the race though.

Many vibes for young Spence ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ and XB your running has taken off good for you

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Miss Spence~~~~~~~~~~~~
I bet she'll do great!
XB, you must be well chuffed with that performance! Very fast AND very consisten! Wow
Nogs, thank you for that question. I didn't recognise David Walsh either, but he sounds like a pertty shrewd chap. Must have been interesting to hear him.
Podds, I can put in 10 kitchen chairs and 8 garden chairs (we used to let the house for 9!). Sue's right you're nearly there!
FP, how good to see you! And you will surely give a lot of people a marvellous experience this weekend---most especially the ones who can't manage very far but deserve to be hugely proud that they had a go and covered some ground! You really are a star! xxx
Westie, so glad Tony had a better night. Hope it continues, and that on Monday they find things are settling down. In the meantime we will be watching for Scott! I frankly cannot imagine someone so fit that 'if he manages it on no training he will come in around 2:45'!!!! Hope he has a fab day---and Mrs Westie too of course.
Been to the market already, about to hit the weeds again altho Mr C wants to go have a look at an old church where we are going to hear a concert tomorrow afternoon. Turns out to be part of a local monastic order founded in about 1100 or something----right up my street
20/04/2013 at 10:35
I have accidentally wandered into a pub.
What does everyone want?
20/04/2013 at 10:41
Same again!
20/04/2013 at 10:44
I'm off to try and sort out a uni library ticket.
Mr P has new painkillers and his knee feels a lot better. He's also now been referred to hospital specialist with a view to a new knee!
(((((((snaily and snaunty)))))))))
((((((((Sue))))))) I hope the waiting and thinking about it turn out to be worse than the actuality.
20/04/2013 at 10:50
Hurrah for Tony
Go Go Go Spence daught
Blimey, did we actually leave the pub last night, Noggs;-)
Nice plodding, xb. Somehow I don't think your plan would work for me as there would be a shedload of runs to do to make it work
FP, you are a star hope the weather is as good with you as it here pretty much perfick for cycling
Podds, you will have earned that glass of vino when you get back.
That old church sounds fabulous chuggy and looking round it means not weeding so jump at the chance.
(((( Mr Pippi knee))))
Cycled in my shorts n tee to meditation. Glorious. Off to sort Greyhound friendly flooring. Wish me luck. I think I may have a touch of the vapours when its priced up:O
20/04/2013 at 16:01
I have sat in the sun with the sun on my face
Perfect medicine
Blimey! Need the shades on! That would be the glare from Yum's leggies!!
20/04/2013 at 16:37
Sorry, spence , didn't mean to dazzle yer.
It was all going so well in the flooring centre. I found the dog friendly vinyl I liked n priced it up n then he said I needed hard board fitted underneath n that was almost as expensive as the feckin floor! I feel grumpy:'( Gave up on the hallway as not very much cheaper than the lounge yet a fraction of the size.
And breathe...........
20/04/2013 at 17:51
Cripes Yums, you have expensive hardboard on the East Coast - mind nothing is cheap these days is it? (except me on a night out)
HL, GD and I have had an afternoon in the garden.  It's not been worth planting anything as the soil temps are too low - they need to be 6 or 7C to start germination for most veggie stuff.  Our little veggie plot is nearly full already
Taters, parsnips,onions,celeriac,garlic, peas and a few other bits.  the plot is handlerchief size, I grow herbs and salad in cheap plastic troughs.
I've knocked up an ace chilli, there's loads so form a queue.
20/04/2013 at 17:57
Noggy a good chilli and you getting the beer in will be down as soon as I find the space / time / travel line
just did a pot of fresh mussels with tony now getting slightly merry and chilling so may not be in a position to post any more tonight
