Just to throw another suggestion into the bag, how about the Leicester marathon / half marathon on November 24th? Nice and central for everyone...

The website is: www.leicestermarthon.org.uk

This could be my opportunity to nag those of you who haven't ordered their vests yet (most of you have I know) to do so!!!! I just missed the last lot so I'm now waiting for the orders to pile up before I get mine - so come on get those vests ordered now!!!!

See Dog Walker (had to pick my timing) but that was for starters!

Re 'Salisbury' 02.03.03 'George Dunster Imber Half'. Have just had a reply from the WRC Secretary, who has stated that, currently there are no maximum numbers for this race, the more the merrier. So I'm sending my form off today.

Name on back great idea.

BK, that would be great, but I don't think that it is the best of pictures, although I suppose that it is me...!

I have tried before to do a picture but I just couldn't get it the right size...

So many races, so little time---
How bad is Coniston really, I was only in my teens when i walked round there, so maybe its not as tough as i remember??

I will get round to doing a summary sometime.

what distance is the Salisbury in March? - at that time of year, it would need to be 15 or 20 miles to fit in with the schedules for London.
03/10/2002 at 22:54
Benz, Coniston isn't that bad, it's a road race, not a circular hill route up the Old Man.
You'll like it. Honestly.

Good god Laura, it's been months!

Did you get a Paris pack from the organisers this week?
03/10/2002 at 22:59
Okay, maybe interested
I just have memories of being exhausted and cold in that part of the world
But I wont have a rucksack on my back

Missed you too Snoop.
Yes I did, and I noticed they're planning on more bogs along the start, maybe I won't need to water the roses next time then.
You doing it?

Think so - a bunch of us have hired a coach and booked a hotel for the Sat night - budget job this time at 60 squid a throw.

Then it's London the following weekend, if I get in - just like this year!

You'll have to join us at the pre race party Sat eve, if you come down.

Nice to banter, but I have to go to bed - had a late one last night.

One day, I'll meet Murf on these threads, but clearly not this time.

Night night!

Morning all, just to say I've added Brighton to the list. Come along to Soho on the coast!

Being a newbie, I have a few questions please:

Ironbridge: What distance is it? Where can I get an application form? If I'm running in FLM next year, will it be sensible to run at Ironbridge so close to FLM?

I'm kind of new to all this running lark (well, I ran FLM last year, and loved it, but have only started running again in the last couple of months), and want to start doing more, and this seems like a good idea?

BTW, I used to live about, oh, one mile from Ironbridge and whoever said the uphill back into Madeley is "challenging" - I've nearly stopped laughing now....

Actually I've always found that uphill very easy. But then I will admit I've only ever driven up it. Hummmm may need to go and practice there.

We are talking about the hill that has The Beacon and Abraham Darby at the top of it? I've walked it, and that was enough!

Since you're obviously still local (and I moved to London 6 years ago), do you have any idea where I can get an entry form from?

Mr A, I believe Ironbridge is a half.
