I'm not sure "cute" or "sweet" are quite the words I'm looking for, but they are very cuddly skull & crossboneses, Schmucks!

Now I've finished marafun training, I hope to (finally) finish off the cross stitch I've had on the go for 6 months or more! Good thing the couple in question are yet to actually set a date.

That's looking brilliant, Schmunkee!

(erm, what's it going to be?)

I need a 3.75 set of ends for my needles to start my new project, I'm hoping my LYS will have them in today.

Is that the scarf from a few pages ago, Schmunkee?

FINALLY! I picked up my sewing again last night and got a fair bit done. About bloody time too!

Weirdly though, I didn't feel as I used to when actually doing it - it was more because I had to rather than wanted to. Odd.

What are you stitching Mimaduck?
23/04/2012 at 14:51

3 samplers, one for my parents, one for a friend and one for a chap at work for his new granddaughter. Nothing like extra pressure!

Do you have deadlines for the projects mima?
23/04/2012 at 19:22
Not really...but I have just lost the oomph...the drive. Although they do all have to be done by Christmas.

I've started to challenge myself by knitting through f and b of loop and doing skp

Its like going from 5k to IM
27/04/2012 at 23:02
What does skp stand for?
27/04/2012 at 23:06

slip one, knit one, pass slipped stitch over.

It makes a pretty decrease and can be phrased differently.

Ah, yes, in my pattern it is s1, k1, psso. I agree it looks very nice. Have you done yrn fwd to make a lacy stitch?
28/04/2012 at 13:09
I have, its great that you can deliberately make holes in your knitting

I am making lots of deliberate holes in another of my lacey scarves.  Most of them even in the right place

I will then finish the sock which is at the heel stage.  No starting anything new until everything is off the needles.

You are disciplined TP!
28/04/2012 at 18:39

Not really, I just have to every so often or the number of half finished stuff gets silly.

I have enough wool for 2 more pairs of socks, another lacey scarf and a weird frilly scarf done on a circular needle which has about 700 stitches at the end.  No more wool buying until that's used up either .... yeah, right!

I have 2 different blankets on the go, a pair of socks I perhaps was a little ambitious in starting cos it's knitted on 4 needles, and a cross stitch project
28/04/2012 at 19:23

yay...I've spent the afternoon sewing! BLISS!!
