I agree she has in my humble opinion had some involvment in the whole sorry tale and she has managed to get away via a well heeled media campaign from the US that questioned the effectiveness of the Italian judicial system against that bastion of justice the US of A

She should be forced to go back to Italy but some how I don't think she will be plugging her book in Europe anytimke soon!!!!

Amanda Knox is a very strange individual. She never showed any pity for the victim, behaved most oddly for a young woman accused of such a serious crime and, apparently, during her time in prison, was totally vain and self-obsessed.

My feeling is that she may not have been directly involved in the murder but that she was the one who let Rudy Guede into the house and was there when the crime took place. What happened after that we may never know.

Nice, really nice. What a lovely " I believe everything I read" person you are. ;0)

This is absolutely true and the major cause of doubt over her truthfulness.

She first accused Patrick Lumumba (who was entirely innocent) and then, when it was becoming clear he wasn't involved, switched the accusation to Rudy Guede.

Very true and I agree, however if the known facts are that three people were confirmed as being in a house, where one of them ends up with her throat cut, and two of the remaining have been proven to be lying about a 4th person, then I'd say there is good reason to pursue them.

It will be interesting to see if the American authorities are as keen to deport this time, but I won't hold my breath.

I think she looks a bit shifty. Burn her! Burn her!

27/03/2013 at 12:06

Who really knows? Simple.

The Guardian says she's the victim of a witch hunt by the incompetent and misogynistic Italian justice system.

Not really been following it, but other than a confession obtained under dubious circumstances it doesn't sound like there's much evidence against her.

She's innocent until proved guilty.

The same as Oscar.

Not necessarily.

They won't extradite her. Now if it was a criminal suspect who America wanted extraditing to the States to face trial there...

27/03/2013 at 15:47

can anyone name an American citizen that the US have allowed to be extradited to another country?

Actually this is just another of completely false assumption. The USA has extradited far more citizens to the UK (for comparison) over the last decade than we have to them. These extraditions just don't make the news over here, as do very few of the ones we do to them.

Extradition treaties work both ways and are signed by the nations governments.
