I've not had any problems with it, but then I only use my phone for texting.
Accordion to Wiki it runs on Vodaphone so should have the same coverage and service. Lots of companies package but run on the back of other networks - Virgin on T-Mobile for instance. If the deal is good, then you should be ok.
