Certainly more interesting than the original classifications
It told me I'm technical middle class.
On the news last night this was explained as financially comfortable but socially and culturally impoverished.
If I had any friends I'd ask them what that meant.
It told me I'm Elite - but then you already knew that anyway....
Having a house in the south of England and some sort of pension (pretty much anyone who has been paying in for 20 years, and that includes anyone with a public sector pension) got me to Elite. Complete tosh.

It's been years since I visited a museum. I didn't attend a private school and never went to University. We seldom entertain at home, rather go to a restaurant to eat with friends.
Good for a laugh. I'm an HR consultant and my OH is an air conditioning technician. And although I do occasionally listen to classical, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool rock fan conditioned by growing up in the 60s.

Yeah. This has nothing to do with class.
It's something more like "marketing segmentation".
Like Marx sort of said, there are only two classes: those who want and expect to govern, and those who want and expect to be governed.
The BBC and the media generally, being part of the former, love to distract us with stuff like this.

Permenantly skint - no car, lap top, play station drink in cheap pubs ermmm but second from the top well if that is the case the UK really is in the shite
