One thought on the Kirkland incident. A few people have said he went down easily.
Er hang on, the lout came on and Kirkland looked at him but gave him (misplaced as it turned out) credit that he wasn;t going assault him. So when he did, Kirkland wasn' ready for it. It may have been an open hand rather than a punch but his head and therefore neck were violently jolted sideways becasue he wasn't ready to resist. He could haev been seriously injured.
Putting you hands on either side of somebody's head and twisting violently will kill them. So lets not blame the victim on this one, it wa a violent assault. Kirkland could have pre-empted it and hit the block but no doubt would then have been villified.
its a bit like the person breaks into your home and you are the one locked up for hitting them!! and i am on the looney left !
