Anyone had any lovely presents from their boss? (P45s excluded)

A couple of guys I work for in my part time job bought my a beautiful boxed bottle of Brute Rose Ruinart Champagne and the main man I work for bought me (well his wife did) a lovely kitchen tea set with beautiful mugs, various teas and biscuits.  Very nice.

So lovely to be appreciated.

I got a chrismas card which he had written "Best Wishes" on.

That's all. Nothing else. not my name, not his name. Nothing. And the two guys on the next desk to me both got the same card.... with the same thing inside. He might as well have bought an ink stamp and stamped the greeting on  them all.

I feel really valued as an employee.

I got a huge bouquet of a dozen red roses once and really didn't know what to make of it.  I'm hoping Interflora got it wrong!    pirate

I've had two - from the Head of Department, and the Deputy Head. I don't actually work for either of them directly. I don't know what the ressies are, as I'm keeping them for Christmas day.

My line manager didn't even give me a card, but he never does to anyone, so I don't take it personally. I know that he does appreciate me, because he tells me so.

novelty glow in the dark french tickler.

(wasn't actually from him - he'd found a stack of them in a box after our workplace -big old warehouse- had been hired out for a corporate party. he decided to leave them in our in-trays - gave me a bit of a shock!)

what a stingy bunch of gits some of you work for!

despite us not having our best year financially, and the new office move swallowing a load of spare cash, we have still bought our staff presents - as we always do - our way of saying thank you their efforts during the year.

My boss took myself and my colleague out for a nice lunch.  We bought him a bottle of Remy Martin (have I spelt that right?) and he bought me a box of goodies from Lush (I assume colleague got the same).  Lush is one of my favourite shops and I was very pleased.  When I thanked him, he got all self deprecating and said his wife had helped him, it's a shame he just couldn't take the credit because I thought it was a lovely pressie.

I got my secretary his customary bottle of wine and a bottle of fizz for my hairdresser.
