I'm at work Frodo, I'd avoid all contact with anything called a stool at the moment if I were you

I can honestly say that I have never seen an episode of Friends, no idea why but I just never got into it.

How have you managed to avoid it TP?  For several years Friends appeared to be the only thing on TV

I watched a few minutes of an early one and thought it wasn't for me so never looked at it again.  Same with Sex and the City.  Just never got them.  But I am odd ....

No comment on TP's oddness
Coincedently, I'm just back from the v e t s with a poorly greyhound - she did me proud by weeing all over the reception area as we left

I've never watched Sex and the City either.  I had given up watching TV by the time that started.

I'm not going to have a TV in my new house, when I eventually move.

I could live without a TV but wouldn't wish to.

G and I are movie boffs and have 'home cinema' nights.  We get a generous allocation of "Love Film" DVDs via Amazon rental, we all (us & all pets) pile onto one sofa, turn off all the lights and watch movies.  Love it.

Plus nature or travel documentaries, some of the better investigative journalism, and "Escape to the Country" etc.

Each to their own.

I'm not against the TV, I just haven't had the time to watch it for a long time so it seems silly to pay out to buy one.  I agree that there is some good stuff on occassionally but I always miss it, or record it and then forget to watch it.

And I've cleaned up more than my fair share of it.  We always say that we don't mind when the 4 legged clients do it but we'll start to rebel if the owners join in.  We have 3 toilets for them

I generally only watch trash telly or Corrie or series like White Heat which capture my imagination.  Not a slave to it but wouldn't want to be without it.

Oh I'm also partial to a bit of trash TV... mainly Holby City and certain 'talent' shows like The Voice, BGT etc...  Never really got into the Strictly Come Dancing stuff...  And I could happily spend all afternoon watching house make-over programmes.

oh and some of the more fun general knowledge quiz shows like Q.I.

We love Holby City ... it's about the only thing we record ... K is distraught that Sahira has gone *rolls eyes*

Sahira has gone?! Hehehe, just kidding, I don't really watch Holby

Nam, your pics will be fabulous, can't wait to see them. Fingers crossed for a lovely, sunny day for Cakebook Weddings are so exciting

Survived the hygienist, and really pleased that I don't appear to have gingivitis, which the dentist suspected might be starting Gums bleeding a wee bit more than is normal though, so was told how to brush teeth properly (why have i NEVER been told this before?!) and i've got pipe cleaners to ram in between my teeth too, so should sort out any potential problems. So pleased with that all in all

SP, i started the book you sent me, and i'm about 1/3 of the way through. Really enjoying it. the tension is building in it...

If and when my flatmate moves out (she's looking to buy her own place), and assuming ai can afford to live here on my own, i'm getting rid of the TV, as I don't see the point in paying Virgin Media for a crap set of channels. I do love films, but could watch my DVDs on the iMac, which has a bigger screen than my telly anyway, hahaha. Would be good to save TV licence fee too.

Oh i've decided to sell my camera Don't really want to, as it is really good, but would rather pay off debts. So in case any of you are interested, let me know (it's a Nikon D90).

Fecking Flyfeckingbe  Not content with cancelling my early morning flight next Friday and shovelling me onto the lunchtime one which is a waste of a day, they've cancelled my Exeter one in mid May completely

Did they think of emailing me ohhhhh no, apparently they tried to call me a couple of weeks ago ... yeah right.  I am rebooked via Manchester but it means a 0700 flight back which means leaving Taunton at about 5am .  Thank gawd a friend, who was trying to book the same flight, pointed out the schedule had changed or I'd not have know until I checked in .... 5 hours too late.

It's just bloody fecking crap as if having a LDR isn't tough enough, having flights mucked about just about puts the tin lid on it.  The only other carrier is Eastern and I'd have to sell a kidney to travel with them regularly.

Harumph!

Rant over, as you were

That is a real pain TP, talk about unreliable!! Does Easyjet not have a service from Aberdeen?

I loved Friends and *whispers* I have the box set

I used to watch Casualty alot and then missed a few episodes and never went back to it. I don't watch any of the soaps, but like Law and Order, CSI etc (and White Heat and Downton Abbey). Funny ending to WH - i thought Foyle was starring in it to investigate the sudden death

13/04/2012 at 15:09

Aha, that's who was playing the present day Jack, I couldn't place him last night as I haven't watched Foyle for years.

Easyjet got to Luton & Gatwick from here, BA & BMI to Heathrow.  The rest of the internal routes are almost 50/50 flybe and Eastern.

I thought the present day casting was good - i've seen the guy playing Victor in a few things, and also Alan. I didn't get how Alan and Lily went home in the same car - they weren't still married were they?
