Okay, in that case, since I suspect I haven't got any cumin seeds, I will stick with my original choices. Do I have wine?

Ossau-Iraty

Shropshire blue, or Danish blue

A good, ripe Camembert

Fine-milled oatcakes

Cheers Mr A!

I'm thinking about this island now - what does warthog milk taste like?  Can you make cheese from it?

29/09/2013 at 20:37

Has the edit function disappeared??

Can I have some grapes with my cheese, please?

29/09/2013 at 20:41

Can I have pickles please??

29/09/2013 at 20:44

I think you can make cheese from any kind of milk that's natural.

I realise Ossau-Iraty and Manchego are similar but I was thinking of what would be good on crackers.  My actual favourite cheeses are:

Peccorino Romano (for serving grated on pasta)
Laverstoke Park Farm buffalo mozzarella (amazing)Halloumi.

I'm not actually a big eater of cheese and rarely eat the pure cow ones.

I like it, Phil's really putting some thought into this

Lit: yes you have one case of one alcoholic beverage

Wilkie: no grapes or other fruit unless they happen to grow on the island (perhaps you could make you own wine if they do though).

All: one jar of chutney or pickle - you have to make it last

30/09/2013 at 09:28

One case? Remind me how long I'm on this island for?

30/09/2013 at 09:42

Depends how good you are at making life rafts

I do hate French cheese's though.

I 'camembert' bear it ..........

(thank you, you can catch me at your local comedy club every Wednesday)
